If you're looking for an ultra-cheap DAB, this is as good as they get. Has a useful timer facility for the kitchen as well!

Ignore my original comments - I missed the code.
Great deal!

If you look at the amazon reviews there are a surprising number of 1 star ratings. Complaints about reliability and reception quality.
#8
Be warned it does not take normal batteries and the battery pack cost £30. You can use it as a speaker though for your iPhone etc. I've had the Pure Mini for months and it is the best of my 3 DABs.

Dad wanted one for fathers day and I forgot to order on so this will make up for it. Looks good and with high praise so well worth the punt especially for this price compared to other products I sore with bad reviews.

That's the Pure Mini - this one takes six standard 'C' batteries or a pack.

Brilliant - thanks Henry, been after one for a while now.

I have one of these. But it does not seem to pick up "all" the DAB radios. Has anyone else else had this problem, or am I just missing something here?

Yeah, I've got one this model (paid nearly twice this!) and it's the same. Figured it was the bad signal? Seems to work better in certain rooms...

Think its just luck of the draw. I can see the transmitter about a mile from my house in Edinburgh and Im getting 38 channels full strength.

Dont know if the one i bought as a gift will even get any stations as its going to the stix;-)

I have a Pure Mini DAB radio which will occasionally 'lose' channels, However after rescanning it will locate them again.

Don't like this radio and all that do not have stereo speakers. Are we going back to the 50's ???
Station change is fiddly, have to push the dial to confirm and the radio tipps over unless held with the other hand, what an idiot invented this?

The only muxes you're guaranteed nationwide are BBC and Digital1. Others are regional and vary depending on location, large cities having more available

Link takes you to another seller, and on the right it says delivery 1 to 2 months with Amazon and super-saver delivery at £39.99 then you can use the voucher if you can wait.

Thanks to all who replied to my question. I guess I am not in the best location to catch some of the stations I would like to.

I'm pretty sure that you're wrong about that, as its a battery pack that has a little wire that comes off of it that you need to connect to the radio - I have one, both the radio and the battery pack.

I brought them both on offer on when CDiscount used to be a regular on here.

Don't forget you can listen to digitial channels via Sky or Freeview. I have my Sky box plugged into an old amp and listen to Absolute, Planet Rock, Chill and Amazing most of the day.

Well I can assure you that he is correct - I have this radio and it will take 6 normal C Cells.
You can connect a battery pack as an option instead though.
Not that it matters much now as the deal has expired.

I think you'll find that your the one that's wrong.

I bought this radio a couple of weeks ago from Amazon and didn't even know it was portable (I bought it for the kitchen) so was surprised to find that if you put 6 C batteries into it it becomes portable, bonus.

Another dodgy reception story then...
