Should Makro offers be considered here considering their highlighted advertised prices are exclusive of VAT due to being basically a wholesale outlet. An ordinary shopper can't walk into a Makro store or buy online unless they register and can prove involvement in a bussiness activity !

Saw these in Debenhams reduced to around £35 from meory so £18 a great price.

word of caution, to use without mains you need a chargepak, currently on amazon at first glance for £16.99

either way, I'm off to Makro lunchtime to get mine, great for holidays.

Great price, shame it's Makro. Fine for registered members.

Voted hot;

I got one of these but we seem to have rubbish DAB around here so I tend to use internet instead. This also does FM which is really nice and clear.

I'm a member and have been into a number of branches over the years. Most are god-awful cess-pits, with rude, unhelpful staff and patchy stock of good-priced items!

Yes, this is a good price, but none near me and not worth the unpleasant experience, if it was. Heat added for the price, but nothing else.

I'm member and wouldn't go there again for the same reasons.

Member also - Makro feels like shopping in a big awful trade warehouse - because that is what it is! The lack of 'refinements' are because it is for trade customers not 'retail' customers who expect nice lighting, tastefully arranged shelves and general creature comforts. You just can't please some people!

MAKRO is trade only and should not be allowed on this forum. Its not for all.

Shame none in stock in Sheffield. My dad is a Makro member when he had a restaurant business over 23 years ago. He still got his old red Markro card and it works. Tbh is not difficult to join as a member

Unless you're in the trade you can't get this deal, should be no place for Makro deals on this forum imho

Get over yourself guys.

Lot's of people have Makro cards. I've had mine for over 30 years, got it when running Scout tuck shop.

Popped into Halesowen on Sunday and managed to get the last one - display model for £18. Leave it in the car (USB powered) for when I need 5live sports extra. Bargain and if it hadn't been posted here then I would have missed it!
