This looks good apart from "The Lounge" which I have on my Joggler. This gives around 100 stations which is pathetic when compared to the other internet radio I have which uses Reciva and has over 14,000 stations. If you want Internet radio you need to go down the Reciva route.

my tranciva radio just died last night & this looks good but, from what you are saying the lounge is putting me off. is there a way of finding out what stations are avaliable on it?
or could you recommend an internet radio for me?! :)

I thought the lounge on the joggler was a cut down version.

Regardless of whether you think the item is good or not this has to be a hot deal - I can't find it much less than £180 elsewhere
#5
Couldn't agree more - Seems a good deal Lounge or Other version. Thanks for taking the trouble to post .

I've been interested in one of these since they were first announced. At this price I might finally get one!

The Lounge on the Joggler is indeed a cut down version. If you go to http://www.thelounge.com you will see there are hundreds perhaps thousands of stations and I am pretty sure the Pure Sensia will be able to access them all. Seems £60 odd cheaper than elsewhere...

oh well. guess it wasnt to be, back up to £229.99 now :(

Play did this yesterday with a JVC ipod dock, put it down to 29.99 for a few hours then whacked it back up to 84 pounds something. Don't know what they are playing at.

I just called Play and asked them about this a sit was in my basket for £113.99, I went to enter my credit card details and realised it had jumped to £229.99! It`s an Indian call centre and the person at first had no idea what I was on about!!! She then spoke to her manager and came back with the standard line that it was an error on their website....but she still had no idea what I was on about!!

I have an Intempo GX01 which is no longer available. It may be worth having a look on EBay. I stand corrected regarding my comments on The Lounge it would appear to have 16,662 stations and Reciva has 17,122. However, you should check that you do get a full service on this unlike the one on the Joggler.

You are correct. Apologies for making an assumption.

Has anyone received their's yet? It's still showing 'awaiting stock'. But it's also for delivery 4-5 days....
#15
Did anyone receive one? Two months later and I'm still 'awaiting stock'!
#16
It looks like they are going to send these.
I just checked my credit card on line and the money has been requested.
The Play site shows them in stock and my order status has changed to 'Packing'.
#17
Oooh! Mine too. My call last week might have helped. Fingers crossed it makes it here before christmas.
#18
Chuffing typical! It's gone missing with the couriers....... Play say they will send out another one, but unlikely to get before Christmas. :(

This is typical Play trickery, they get a few people in with cheap offers and then whack the price up hoping you'll either still buy it or at least buy something else!

They do it ALL the time

Total crap, calling up will make no difference at all, these companies KNOW what they are doing and it's a standard line to call it a 'price error' when we all know it's not

Whether it was a pricing error or not they still supplied these readios at the advertised price if you managed to place your order it while it was still shown at the price, so no compaints on this one from me.

normal - Sorry to hear about the courier problem. I was concerned about mine becasue it was sent via Hermes (which have a bad reputation). There was some problem relating to play not providing all the required information to Hermes but that was swiftly resolved and I received it yesterday,

On setting it up, I did an firmware update via wireless network and the update failed. I had to download the update to my PC, connect via USB to the radio and perform the update to get the radio working again. Note: USB to mini USB cable not supplied with the radio.
To be honest there is no way I would have payed the full price for this although it's not too bad for the price paid. It would have been nice if they had supplied a battery and screen protector with it. The price the battery (around £29) and screen protector (around £17) seem very expensive to me.

Cheers Frizzle. Seems my Mrs won't be getting this for christmas, even though I originally ordered it as an anniversary present in October!

The replacement finally arrived! Maybe Play aren't that bad after all.....
