Website is showing OOS but rung the Bluewater branch and had 8 in stock. This is cheaper than I could find elsewhere and can't see a reason they have the White version at the normal RRP of £59.99 and the black one at £45 but an absolute bargain.

I have one of these. Got it for around £42 a few years ago and its been running stong ever since. No flaws, no problems and runs like clockwork (no pun intended)!

has triple alarm capability and flexible on schedule and DAB/Tone output.

Have to say that I do get a decent digital signal and therefore a very decent number of stations available. Sound is very good.

Well worth the money IMO.

Out of stock now.

Saw this in my local Pcworld today for £39.99 clearance, probably a local deal though that, Gateshead.

As mentioned in the first post it says out of stock but calling your local store and like Bluewater they may well have them. Good spot on Amazon, sure it wasn't that price the other day lol. Had a £25 voucher for JL from previous BT offer though.

Glad it'd not just me who thinks the quality of Pure products is bad. Had two hi fis have cd players go literally days out of warranty. Wouldn't touch a pure product again.

One of mine was a Pure Hi Fi & the CD went on ours. We never used the CD until it went out of Guarantee & it skipped etc, etc. Technically it was new.

Bet it was the dmx50 or dmx60. There's an inherent fault in their cd drives that pure will not acknowledge despite countless reports on the Internet. Terrible customer service

I contacted Pure. They used to have a phone number but it is only emails nowadays, always the sign of a bad manufacturer. This is there reply.

Hi

I'm sad to say that our repair agent is no longer repairing this model; due to expense of parts and the labour needed this model has unfortunately become uneconomically viable to repair for end customers.

Given this situation, I have arranged to be able to offer you a discount on any radio available from our site. All our radios and their specifications can be found here: http://www.pure.com/digitalradio/ and the they would be brand new and come with a fresh two year warranty. Prices quoted also include VAT and delivery.

Have a look over our product pages and if anything looks interesting then let me know and I can give you more details regarding the discount prices I can offer.

You would not be required to return your old radio to us.

Regards,

Richard Ellicott

They haven't even got the decency to tell me what the discount is, It would have to be good as even 30% would not make me buy another of their unreliable products.

This particular item — the Pure Siesta — is absolute rubbish. The display flickers very dimly and you can’t see it at all in the daytime. Ours is now stone dead — bricked — after three years of absolutely infuriating hassle with the impenetrable menu puzzle each time we need to do anything to an alarm. The alarms are also useless. You can’t set the alarm for certain days of the week, you have to have the whole week, weekend, both or nothing. Nobody understands how to use it each time something needs altering. The firmware update doesn’t work, and now the display is dead and the radio is dead, it’s effectively a fifty quid paperweight. I’ll never touch a “Pure” product again and I strongly encourage everyone else to avoid this company also.
