Hi, seems a good price but a quick word of caution. I had a Pyramat Xmas last year and it was trashed after 3 months of heavy use. The padding wore out and it became very unconfortable to use the chair with the wooden subframe digging in your legs and butt. I took mine down the dump after six months and it cost £109 from PC world. Also the sound quality I found really dire so stopped using it for sound shortly after purchase. I can only imagine it would last a little longer if used occationally by a 9st kid rather than a 15st adult.

Another note is that the FM transmitter is battery powered and I found that it ate batteries quite quickly....

Hope this encourages people to buy a real chair that will be alot more comfortable, last longer and maybe be even cheaper.

Is that you who put in the last review on play site?

Maybe he just copy and pasted it lol

1500w !!!!!
I'm presuming that isn't an RMS figure, more like 20w.
If it was 1500w the amp would be heavier than your TV.

Looks fun

It just looks so....uncomfortable.

Why on earth would anyone want to sit in that position for any length of time?

Gimmicky waste of money.
#12
For gaming it might be alright, can anyone else recommend this?

It's great for something else as well as gaming... You can get some interesting positions out of it

This specific model from the pyramat range of chairs is for children. Thats probably why it was trashed within months.
I recently got the Pyramat Sound Rocker S2500w which is the one for adults and is the perfect size. I would recommend the 2500 as it is great sound and very comfortable.

I always thought this solved a problem that never existed. I've found my ultimate gaming apparatus to be a half-decent bean bag. When you get the bean/air ratio right I find it great for a relaxing slouching posture.

You've been playing solo, huh?

I purchased one of these seats back in November for my lads Christmas present. Was quite disappointed with the overall performance of the chair, not so much from a comfort point, more from the quality of sound.
With regards the system being wireless.
There is a cable with a receiver on the end that I attached to the XBOX360 to which I left close to the television. From this point, distance being approximatly 1 1/2 mtr away it was struggling with the quality of sound. I then moved the receiver closer to the actual chair which improved the sound, however from a point of being a wireless chair I cant really see it is as "truly wireless" as the receiver protrudes across your room then you have to plug the chair into the mains.
From the point of comfort, the overall build quality is pretty sturdy and heavy which shows a form of quality.
I purchased the chair at £80 so the cost at Play for a reasonably comfortable chair is not all that bad.

This is a great price if you can get the damn thing to work!!!!!

I bought one for my 7 years old for his Xbox 360 but apparentley if you have the Xbox connected via HDMI you can't use this chair wirelessly, which defeats the point of having a wireless chair.

In the end i took it back and got a cheaper wired version. Which like his Xbox that he really really really needed has used no more that half a dozen times since the end of January.

Bloody kids.

you can make it wireless you need an audio lead that comes with the elite console

Mamboboy, step away from they keyboard. You're post is full of nonsense.

mamboboy
These things are gimmicky
How can a chair be a gimmick, I'm fairly certain chairs have been around long enough not to be called a gimmick.
mamboboy
They always look so uncomfortable too
So you've not actually sat on one then?
mamboboy
Pretty much dead cert you'd get piles
From sitting down? I take it you're not in the medical profession.
mamboboy
only be worth looking at when they are full 5.1 surround

mamboboy
absolutely pointless to people like myself who have their tv's mounted way off the ground! :
So you've no interest in the product, so thought you'd write some crap into the comments instead. And you want a subwoofer, 5.1 audio, high build quality and Recaro luxury, yet I imagine being the peasant you are you'd want all that for 40 quid?

Get a grip son, its a 40 quid kids gaming chair. Away with you.
