Been looking for a good 1 bay NAS for a while and this box ticks all the boxes with good time machine support and host a whole load of functionality that other but cheaper NAS do not. Seems to float near the £120 mark with 116 from Dabs 118 from misco and 140 from scan so a good price and in stock!

Yes you can get others at a cheaper price but networking folk will know what this can do over the rest ^^

1-Bay
• Diskless System
• Marvell 1.6GHz Processor
• 1 x 10/100/1000M
• 2 x USB3.0 + 1 x USB2.0

Cheers op, have gone for one.

was looking at the TS-130 & TS-131 but they were around £140. Only want it as a survellance NAS so this will be great.

Only 25 left when I ordered.

I think the survellance station pro software for the Qnap is second to none, and free too for multiple cameras which I know is not the case for the Synology Nas models. Stick a WD purple drive in this and you're good to go.

Depends what you want and how much you want to spend. Prices start at £25 and go way over £100.

Indoor/Outdoor?

Pan and tilt or fixed position?

Great picture quality/OK picture quality?

I need a decent one for outdoors with low lighting viewing. Although I already have a nas I have purchased this for the nvr function. Any guidance on the best value/quality camera. Thanks

Has to be this deal then for the Trendnet 3mp IP camera.

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/trendnet-tv-ip310pi-outdoor-3-megapixel-full-hd-poe-bullet-day-night-ip-network-2116347

It's Power over Ethernet (PoE) so you'll need to power it using a PoE injector or a PoE switch (costs from £15 and £45). Also this is hard wired not wi-fi so bear that in mind.

Good sample video here

If it has to be wireless then this is the next best thing.

Thanks. Will look at getting one of those cameras. I can hard wire it. So i need a camera and the injector?. Plus the qnap nas.
