not quite sure where to put this but if you have bought a Sony product with the DLNA service on it recently you can get hold of ur Qriocity code from you home screen on that system, register at qriocity.com before the 31st of january and you can claim yourself either £15 free to watch films, or £15 free PSN which seems great if you wanna buy a map pack or some games,

i can live without splashing out on the new gear but great for those who have :D

If the offer was only available for the first 7500 applicants, chances are the offer has now expired. Have a look here http://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/622346

It worked for me :) but i did this at the beginning of December last year, i registerd without even knowing about this deal then a week before xmas i get the code, i was well happy :) i linked it up to my PS3 account but still used it for films just to see what its like.

It takes at least a week for the code to come.

Qriocity is basically the movie rental part of the Playstation Store.

When I registered my Sony Blu Ray player last week using my PSN username it actually credited the £15 into the Playstation Store. It looks like the credit is there for ANY purchase not just Movie Rentals.

I don't think it is just the ps store is seperate I think - I believe qriocity is an additional music/movie streaming service, unlimited music

see here http://www.qriocity.com/gb/en/music.html

there is a completely seperate icon on the playstation menu bar thing

#23
you can use your psn log in to do it you just need a code from having a qriocity device, apologies for stating playstation didnt have qriocity i think i have seen it on my own at home, it took my mate a few days to get his code through and he did it about 5 days ago
#24
ok I'll give it a go as I bought a Sony Blu Ray player at the weekend, hope the 7500 haven't been used up yet

thats pretty much how you do it, go to the website on the link, login in using your psn and register with the code from ur blu ray player, GL

I was emailed a code after registering a Bluray player.

I'd have to say that I was very impressed with the quality of the film on what is a fairly low-speed ADSL line these days = 2.0 - 2.5 Mbps

As a free teaser it's unbeatable (and heat added!), as a paid for service it has quite a few drawbacks:

1) Price the rental cost per film is too high - not competitive with Blockbuster for instance.

2) Restrictions:

a) You have 30 days to begin watching your rental - fair enough I suppose

b) When you begin watching, you then have 2 days to finish (and you can watch more than once in that period) - not unreasonable, but a few more days would be handy

c) When you rent a film, it's "bound" to the device on which you rented it. This is a bit annoying if - like me - you have more than one Sony device registered to the same account. I can't start watching it in the kitchen on a tiny telly and then finish off on a larger one in comfort.

Have signed up, will see what happens.

Wouldn't have thought so - I bought my S370 blu-ray player last June and still got £15 when I signed up just before Christmas.

you just need to get the qriocity code from his tv, you will be able to acess this if his tv is connected to the internet, you account and card will then be linked to his TV so you will have to hope he doesnt sneak a couple of movies of your account ;)

Cool. Thanks. How long does it take for the credit to come through?
#33
Linked my device to my PSN account, not even an email yet

Not holding out much hope for my £15 PSN credit but hope to be proved wrong
#34
thanks, worth a try
#35
Registered a new account and linked my Blu-ray last night.

Is this a silly question? : Do you have to enter your bank card details in order to get the £15 credit?
(because I didn't enter mine)
#36
ermm to register on psn you have to have a card set up i believe, could be wrong

I registered on PSN back in August 2009 and I never had to register my card details. Don't know if they've changed the system now
#38
I'll wait and see then - didn't really want to enter my card details for a service that I would most likely forget about (or, for that matter, one that the kids could use on the tv when they find out the PIN)
#39
I'm another recent ps3 buyer. The telly will have to wait for now. Let's hope another offer like this is coming on again then.

anyone get nything yet out of interest?
