Superb price must admit I am tempted by this.

EDIT - what's to think, I've bought it, this is a fantastic deal I can see this getting very hot. Ah the nostalgia can't wait to try them!

Just bought this.
OK they are a bit old but for 4 quid there is a LOT of game play in here.
Unlike some new games that have a lot of flashy graphics, nothing behind and are finished in a couple of days, this should keep you going for weeks if not months.

Memory Lane here I come.
(Now where did I put that nail-gun)

I've gone for this.

Thanks OP, spent loads of time on Quakelive recently until it just came out of Beta and they are charging now.
#4
I don't understand why Quake 4 isn't included. I understand it wasn't made by id but still.
#5
Since the source code has been released for all of these games why do you have to pay for them anymore?
#6
the source code does not include all the assets, like levels, graphics, sounds etc..

its just the code.

HOT from me!

Thanks I just looked it up. Only the engine is open sourced not the game.

Great games however a bit too late, this offer should have Q4 included. You can play Quake Live for free which is simply Q3.

Great spot, heat added.

@apatia77 Quake Live isnt free any more.

Missing the point, some people will go for this because of the nostalgia offered by Quake. Spent many a boozy weekend playing Quake into the early hours, only to look down and see over a dozen empty cans of beer round my chair once I'd finished.
Appreciate the graphics won't compete with todays stuff but with these old FPS games you tend to explore the levels which bring the memories flooding back.

Memories........ice gun was the best

I used to play Quake 3 religiously - was in many a clan war years ago.
#16
I liked the grapple hook mod in Quake where you could hang off a wall above and drop frag grenades down on them as they scurried about wondering wtf was going on.
#17
Aye I was the same playing Q3 into the early hours around 2000-1, good times ;)
#18
Had to buy these, so many hours spent on Quake and Quake 2, so so good. Always preferred Unreal Tourny to Quake 3 Arena though
#19
Thanks! got! ..........even though I've been playing quakelive for free all day

Great Games. Heat added.

Did you play on Barrysworld mate - I used to head the clan 'war_uk'.
#22
WTF no quake 4?
#23
Got most of these already, but for £4 it saves me having to keep track of all the old CDs!

You should be able to finish each of these in 1 day tops.

These were well known for their super flashy graphics...maybe you meant something else?
#25

Quoted by somebody who doesn't realise quakelive on its own now costs more than this?

Another trip down memory lane here, ploughing away through the nights on wireplay Quakeworld (DM, and the original and best Team Fortress!) back when 33k was a luxury!

Used to play Quake 3 Arena religiously probably why I did not do as well as I could have in my GCSEs. I would turn all the lights of and zone out into a robot. I was so good that I would be accused of being a bot.

Does it have online play? and do people play on it?
#38
if i buy this for my imac could i play it on my macbook? or do you need to buy it again?
#39
i wonder how many hours i wasted on quake 2 online!

shall look into this and see if it's mac compatible and buy it
