Best price I can see on this decent team based FPS.

Serving as the prequel to id Softwares legendary QUAKE II, Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars is the ultimate online team and objective-based experience, delivering a new depth of multiplayer action to next generation consoles. Set within the epic QUAKE universe in the year 2065, the game pits the Allied troops of the Global Defense Force (GDF) against a sinister new Axis the marauding, technologically advanced Strogg - during their initial invasion of Earth.

Brand new to the console environment, gamers choose to play offline or online modes as Human or Strogg in one of five unique character classes. Employing an arsenal of weapons, vehicles and deployable armaments, players engage in an action-packed test of skill and coordinated teamwork through a series of combat objectives. Persistent character growth and achievements reward players for teamwork, while clearly defined mission and class objectives guide new players to meaningful contributions on the battlefield.

Based on the critically-acclaimed PC game developed by Splash Damage, Nerve Software and Underground have collaborated with id Software to optimize Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars for the console environment (Xbox 360 and PS3), creating an intuitive experience that allows console players of every skill level to jump into a match and make a valuable contribution to the overall mission. Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars brings id Softwares new MegaTexture graphics technology to consoles for the first time, delivering large outdoor battlefields of unrivaled detail.

i really enjoyed it but it came out at the sanme time a raft of other games so it didnt get the attention it deserved.

It's ok. I find the aerial vehicles impossible to manuever without crashing, but the framerate is quick and smooth as is the general pace of the game. It comes way behind Battlefield and Rainbow 6 when I want some online MP action though.

Bought this ages ago for the PC, and was disappointed with it.
While I loved all of the previous Quake games, Quake Wars just didn't have the same 'feel'.
I rate the various Unreal Tournament titles as superior teamplay centric fps games.

Saw this in Curry's for £4.99, so it might be worth having a look in there.

totally different games, this really isn't a good game. left 4 dead is good for what you want if you haven't got it already.

Well, I'm a big fan of the Quake universe, and to be fair L4D and RS:V2 are two pretty different games besides the fact you can play it with friends lol.

Ignoring whether or not you think the game is good or bad, can you play it splitscreen coop on the same console?
#16
Well you mentioned playing co op with your boyfriend not the actual game type, looked on the back of this and it's 1 player, online up to 16 players so it appears this cannot be played co op. The single player on this is pretty lame anyway.
