I bought one of these yesterday with a little apprehension about how good it would be. It cut the front lawn a treat. The collection box is ok but some grass flies off in the wind. The back garden was a different story though having been left to grow for 3 weeks (and it was wet). The long grass had already killed my flymo that day so after strimming and changing the height settings on the Qualcast(which takes a minute to do with a spanner) it sorted everything out. To summarise - this is a great little mower. It is a lot easier to push around than my deceased flymo. I was looking at one of the Bosch Rotaks but was put off by stories about reliability. If you have a small to medium lawn that is kept to a manageable height this is recommended. No need to worry about fuel, electricity, motors etc. All I had to do was give it a bit of a wash down and now its back in the shed. Having had 4 or 5 different mowers this has to be the best.

Great thanks, just ordered one. My electric mower keeps packing up halfway through cutting grass ! Obviously some kind of fault, as its trial and error if it works or not so I was dreading getting it out again and messing around to see if it would work this time. Problem solved, ordered this one My dad used to have one of these when i was young .Didn't realise they still made them If it does the trick i will be well pleased.

Nice find, was looking at one of these for a while but didn't fancy paying full price. Hope it does the job.

As long as the grass isnt overly long/wet you'll be fine.

Just got back from argos with mower. Thought i would let people know how it performs. Grass was quite long as mower had packed up again ! It works really well ! I was surprised, wasn't sure how it would cope with grass being longer than normal.Took a bit of time and effort, backs killing me now, but i have to say i am pleasantly surprised ! But reviews mention the box being a bit of a bother, it kept coming off , but i think that was my fault because of long grass. Not much of a problem though, just raked it up. It will be so much easier to keep under control now, a quick once a week job and i can cut it even when it has rained.! No wires to get in the way either. :)

I think if you have it at the right height setting for the length of grass the box stays on ok. If you are ok raking the grass up after, the mower is a bit more manoevrable on its own. When you mow next week it will be a doddle!

Just picked mine up and had a go with it. Did a good job of cutting despite the fact my lawn is a bit up and down and more moss/clover than grass these days.

Box was a bit of a faff but generally alright. Might do it without as it didn't catch much grass anyway and still needed to rake afterwards.

Pretty good overall. Sure it will improve when I get the knack too.

I have one of these and been using 2 years, they are great for all the reasons mentioned, plus it actually does the grass good cutting it like this, see the results in 4-6 weeks cutting once a week.

I can not imagine myself every going back to an electric.

I don't need another one but I may well buy at this price and store for the future
