I have all the bond movies on dvd but should I buy this on Blu-ray?

Good spot and great deal.
#3
Brand new DVD super cheap. Have some heat for mothers day.

P.S Olga is HOT
#4
Dang - bought it with the free book thing from HMV - £11.99. Not a happy chappy - esp as the book was a bit of a rip off as it wasnt actually the true book :(
#5
Cool. Anybody know any other supermarket deals? I asked at my local Asda Living on Friday and they said it would be on offer but wouldn't say the price.
#6
A great price for a new release, voted hot.

On the downside, I was watching this last night and I really didn't like the direction/editing.

I've never seen so many camera cuts in such a short time, cooupled with the close in style and wobbly camera work and this is a very hard film to watch.

Either that or I am just getting old
#7
Really want this on Blu-Ray, but at this price think that I might make do with the dvd version for a while. Shouldn't be too long before this is in the 3 for 2 on Blu-Ray hopefully.
Thanks OP heat & rep.

#12
Cheers, I'll be getting this tomorrow. Voted hot.
#13
We have 600 of this film ready to go out in my store.
Price could still go down, price war going on.
Will find out tomorrow morning when i buy my copy -10% staff discount too.:p

Hot Deal.
#14
It still bothers me just how much Bond pouts, more so in his first outing. Like a kind of camp Bond.
Enjoyed the first one, more Bourne than Bond tho. I still think there is a place for the humour that it was always known for. Good price for a new movie, still not convinced the Blu(e) Ray version can justify the doubled price tag.
#15
Is £15 the cheapest price for the blu ray version?

Might have to wait a while if that is the case.

might get up early and fetch it....cheers Barney

Good Deal but pants film. Wouldn't buy it at this or any price. Worst Bond film ever.
#19

Wouldn't surprise me if it gets reduced to £7 on Tesco's website later today.....

Was in the queue at Tesco's Havant and not many discs on display. I wanted a Blur-Ray, no price on the shelf...got an assistant to scan it - £19.87 FOR THE BLU-RAY.... grabbed the £7 DVD for now. It's been asked already, is Morrisons the cheapest BLU-RAY Solace?
#25
Got my DVD for £7 this morning. None on display, staff didn't have a clue, but got there in the end.
#26
Picked up mine today. Only 3 copies left on display at 9am. I guess they are selling fast before the offer expires on Wednesday.
#27
Smoking deal. Shame the film itself is not that good when compared to Casino Royale.

No mate, you're right. Forster has tried too hard to copy Greengrass' directorial style on the Bourne movies in QoS. I said the same thing about the crazy amount of handheld camera when I watched Bourne Supremacy though but I got used to it, and now don't notice so much after repeat viewings.

"only one copy per customer allowed"

I got 2 (one for a mate), they didn't seem to mind!

It's a sad day when I say it, but really not sure this Bond film's even worth £7 of my money.

Agree with the others about the ultra-quick choppy edit - just too much, couldn't actually see what was going on.

Not much in the way of one-liners, some hit and miss styling, no gadgets (except the darned sony product placement), very little driving after the first 5 minutes, not much shooting - just nothing bond-y about the thing. Couple that with a dodgy plot (even by bond standards!) and I'm really struggling to justify my buying this...
#32
Just bought online. 10% staff discount brings it to £6.30 plus 7% quidco.

I think it makes it worth buying, but I'm a big Bond fan, so very happy.

Don't bother trying Hatfield (Herts) instore to buy a copy - there delivery didnt come in and so they don't have any at all!!

Buy it online then. 7% quidco makes it cheaper than buying in store anyway.
#34
is £7 in tesco the best buy for this, or has there been any bidding wars apart from amazon 2p cheaper, how much in morrisons?

#37
£13.97 in store at asda - shocking!

Would have thought they'd drop it to atleast a tenner!

ditto, resisted buying it, will reappraise the film itself when it comes on Sky, otherwise I'll watch it once and it'll take up space in my house
