Great price for this 2 disc special edition set ......

Daniel Craig returns as Ian Fleming's most famous creation in Quantum of Solace, the first film in the James Bond series to follow directly on from the previous entry. Continuing where Casino Royale concluded, Quantum of Solace finds Bond on a perilous mission to uncover the truth behind the betrayal of his beloved Vesper, while keeping one step ahead of M (Judi Dench Mrs Henderson Presents, Shakespeare In Love), the CIA and a shadowy organisation fronted by the diabolical Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric The Diving Bell And The Butterfly, Marie Antoinette).

Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright Basquiat, Oliver Stone's W) and the dubious Rene Mathis (Giancarlo Giannini Black Belly of the Tarantula, Seven Beauties) also return for this high octane sequel directed by internationally-renowned German filmmaker Marc Forster (The Kite Runner, Finding Neverland). Though Quantum of Solace takes its gritty and uncompromising lead from Casino Royale, many of the series' hallmark ingredients are present, including a bevy of beautiful women which includes Gemma Arterton (St Trinians, Rocknrolla) and Olga Kurylenko (Le Serpent, Hitman), and a post-modern music score from series veteran David Arnold.

We liked the film! Got one for hubby

Remember you can get Quidco at Tesco.com (7% I believe) and clubcard points so that makes the Tesco deal slightly better if you have these things, I still vote hot at this price though! Anyone seen what the other supermarkets are selling this at yet??
#6
Anyone seen a hot price on the blu-ray? I have had a copy of this for the last 2 months bought on the Asian market, proper copy not knock off. Strange how they get it before us.

I found the movie abit disappointing after 'casino royale' which was great. The directing was poor i thought & the script could of been alot better (although it was written when the writers strike was going on so that partly explains the script problems).

Tesco offer looks good with 7% off Quidco, but there is no link off Quidco to Tesco Jersey :(
#22
Love it. "had a copy of this for 12 moinths from the Asian market, not a knock off" I think you will find it is a Knock Off!!
#23
Ordered! I have the discount from the Amazon DVD rentals applied, which takes it to £6.62 (or thereabouts), so that's me happy!

As for the film itself... I loved it. I didn't get any of the reasons people criticised it so heavily. I thought it worked perfectly well for me and loved every second!
#24
Ah a good old price war. Shame it takes a price war to get these online retailers to lower their prices. And they are still making a profit on £6.98!
#25
And sold by Indigo Starfish not Amazon. Always been a good retailer. I am guessing it is tax efficient to be based in Jersey?

He said 2 months, not 12

They get it before us because of knock-offs, piracy is so prolific out there that they have to get legit copies out before the pirates get the chance, i.e. not long after it hits the cinema here. It means the mastering is often rushed, of course.

Excellent - ordered. Thanks. H & R added.

Brilliant!

I saw the tescos ad yesterday but there isn't one near me so I went to my local asda where I got Casino Royale on release day for £6.97, they have a big massive display offering the DVD for £13.47 & the Blueray for £19.97 :w00t:

I'd rather pay 2p extra for in-yer-hand DVD than wait 4-5 days for the free postage.

How many people can repeat that it is £7 in Tesco - YES WE KNOW!

Wait... let me have a go...

Hey guys, it's £7 in Tesco stores aswell! I'm sure none of you knew though! :w00t:

Good spot, I hate Amazon since they delivered all my pre-release Xbox games about a week after release date compared to Game delivering the day before release, this might be worth a shout though. Cheers!
