I haven't played any of them either, but it came with ym Xbox bundle (which I still have to wait another 7 days to open...) It looks great though, and seems to be a widely recommended game. Can't comment on gameplay though, haven't had a go yet.

At this price though, it's got to be worth a shot ;)

It got a 9.4 on the overall rating on IGN, but I'd like some insight before buying.

Cheers though Chris, it can't be to shabby on the ps3.
#9
Amazing. Seems you just wait a month or two these days, and all AAA new releases are all available for £18.

Heat added :)

Cracking price. Paid £25 for the limited edition one so don't feel too bad. They also have Quantum of Solace for £17.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3...good price for a good game.
#11
Finally decided to go for this after saying no when it was £28, then £25, then £20. Couldn't resist for this price. Cheers OP.
#12
I've got it on PC yet wish I bought it on PS3 since my computer isn't that high-a-spec so the graphics aren't at their full potential.

For £16. Get it!!
#13
Pants, got QoS from GS for £20 other day, oh well, only £2 difference i suppose
#14

(Assuming "Fallout 3" is the game in question!)

I wouldn't say so. There are some bits that have little nods to the previous games in the series, but if you haven't played them everything will still make sense. It's a separate story, not a continuation.

The game itself is certainly worth it at this price; it's got a lot of depth and while there's a single plot strand there are usually multiple ways of getting to each plot point and a huge number of side quests. There are reports of it being a bit buggy in places, but I haven't run into any problems so far on my first playthrough (on Xbox 360).
#24
Dammit... I just bought this used for £22.
#25
Surely just walking in with proof from the net would be fine. Id walk in with on me phone webpage up and all. Can't really say no. Well you would hope.

Still debating whether to buy this or not is it that good a game?
#26
it was voted RPG of the year at the VGA !!! so i think for this prie its worth a pop !!!
#27

Just phoned HMV blackpool no answer, but preston answered and Fallout 3 is £19.99 instore

Great price but RPG's aren't really my thing...

Good price for QoS but it should fall in price further still as it will only get old after the film...

Just came back from store and prices for PS3 are as follows:

Fallout 3 - £28
Bond - £23 (special price)
TRU - £40

XBOX seams to be the same price

Thanks bennype73 for ringing - and mieciux for posting instore prices. I was going to get the bond game on ps3 from blpckbuster @ £25 but will hav a look in HMV first. Dont want to risk ordering online as they take forever to get items to you!

Fab, thanks for that

Heat and rep.

I will wait for Tomb Raider to drop to ~£10 for the Wii though (it blatantly will at some point soon!).

Thanks.

Over 27 hours into Fallout 3 and hoping to get at least 50 out of my first play, certainly my favourite game of the year.
You could easily finish it much quicker if you can't invest the time though.

£17.99 is an insult :)
#39
the HMV online prices don't include VAT due to where they send them from so it's unlikely you will ever find them for the same price instore.
