#5

One of the best scary films I've seen in the past few years.

There is no way you could get me to watch Quarantine.

Do normal DVD's work in a Bluray player?

Yes and CDs too. It's all backwards compatible and the bluray player will upscale also

Nothing wrong with it, one of the better US remakes. Certainly much much better than the likes of Ring and The Grudge.

None at my local Tesco Extra in Swansea (Llansamlet store), and only the chart BluRays have price tags like that. Anything non-chart just has a price sticker on it.

there's nothing wrong with it because it is basically nothing but a shot for shot remake of the spanish original. It's just an unnecessary film, frankly.

I don't mind the Ring remake, if I'm honest. Yes, obviously the originals are still better films on the whole, but that wasn't an awful remake.

Agree on the Grudge though. The Eye and Dark Water are pretty frickin bad too, from what i can recall.
#18
Why not just watch REC?
Oh well, not much to grumble about at this price I guess..
#19
Terrible movie - waste of £3.50 if you ask me!
#20
i agree here...this was so stupidlt copied scene by scene and wasnt scary in the slightest...Rec had gripped me and i cant wait to get hold of Rec 2...
#21
Pretty bad film IMO and Blu Ray won't add that much to the experience here, this being shaky cam and all that. Still a good price I suppose for those who are interested.
#22
They'd have to be paying me to watch this or any other film done with a cameraman/camcorder/first person, whatever you want to call it, and you'd have to pay me a lot more than £3.50 to watch it haha.

Really is the worst style of film ever
#23
bad movie, great price

watch rec
#24
has anyone actually found the thing or other titles like it at £3.50?
#25
Amy....xxx
Second that !

Thirded!!!

Saw the second one recently, not as good but still great :)

REC was better

And that was still a poor film.
#27
REC isn't better. Fact.
#28
Rec is better yes... but for a remake I think this is actually pretty good, I paid £10 for it from tesco about 3 months ago and I still haven't got round to watching it since I bought it.

Good price

Oh it must not be better then! Silly me!

FYI REC 2 was slightly disappointing! I enjoyed it and its clever but its very far fetched and leads into another one!!!!!!

REC isn't better. Opinion.

Fixed that for you.

Couldn't find this in the Tesco North Shields. They had the DVD for a fiver...

People who go on about originals always being better are lame. Quarantine is a much better film.

Thousands disagree with you. Given that it's a complete shot by shot ripoff, in what way can it be considered "better"? Surely, it's EXACTLY the same? Unless you're one of those "can't be bothered to read subtitles, so it's rubbish" types...

The originals aren't always better, however in this case, it is.
#34
Of course the original is better but as a remake its not bad, it certainly holds up if you have not seen the Spanish version which I guess is what it was made to do. Its not garbage, its not meh or the worst film ever. It is perfectly watchable. I think a lot of people **** it off because they think its cool to like foreign films.

Plus its not exactly the same as the original as the origin of the virus was changed from the original which I guess means they cannot remake the sequel. Which I though was also brilliant btw.

Lol at the word **** being censored by the way.

I can give you a thousand internet sources of examples of thousands of people getting things wrong at the same time.

Dyslexics probably won't mind that there isn't any subtitles.

To say it is a rip off is a poor use of phrase, it was a remake. A remake with a much bigger budget, and they did a better job of it. I'm not taking anything away from REC. Quarantine just ended up being better - fair play to them.

For the record I like films with subtitles :-D Enjoy your weekend!
