Looks like a good price. Can you not get the cruise ship on the way back ? making it 12 days for £568 ? That would be awesome

The cheapest cabin seems to be £598?!! How do you get the £284?
#3
Can't seem to find the offer, £599pp is best I can see on the site. Any chance of a direct link?
#4
Search voyage 10th November 6 nights when on the details and availability page select voyage only - no air in the drop down box.
#5
Wow yes found it.. shame can't get time off work :(
#6
Anyone at a loose end could go 19th October spend a week in New York and be back in Blighty on 8th November with the return ship cost starting at £567.50. Now, that ain't at all bad.
#7
Good deal but would also need to factor in buying some new clothes for the cruise. X)
#8
Your bar bill would probably be higher than the cost of the trip.

No you can't as she is then doing an 11 night Carribean cruise whicI have just found a bargain for. Thomas Cook want £2,471.14 for 2 people, I use cuisedirect.com and they are quoting $1,776.94 which with a fee free credit card equates to £1,116.16 (less than half TC, couldn't get Cunard site to quote me)
So you could do 6 nights transatlantic then 11 nights Carribean for £842, £50/night is a bargain for cunard.

Remember that you will not be covered by ABTA as they are an American agent so if the company go bust you will lose your money.

Wouldn't section 75 credit card protection cover you? I always use US agents for my cruises, saved $1,000's over the years.

Technically yes but you wont get any money back for the flights and hotels as you would be booking these as individual components.

Just look at the situation with Ash Cloud / French and Spain general strike etc.
You could save some money but could end up costing you more in the long term.
Also some American agents will not accept bookings from the UK as the Cruise Lines are putting blocks in place - I remember reading about issues for Australians not being able to book via US.

They need to get the ship to the USA to start the Caribbean cruise, so might as well try and get some money for an otherwise empty journey to get there. 6 days across the atlantic with nothing to see but sea, and the lovely November weather (storms etc) to enjoy is not my idea of a holiday. Plus you then need to pay to get back.

I know, I know, someone is going to start going on about how much food you will get and how many things there are to do on board, then someone else will point out how much it will probably cost you in tips on top.

It's the annual discussion when they need to get their ships across the Atlantic for the proper cruises and so offer these deals.

Itinerary certainly sounds like fun:

1 Southampton
Mayflower Pier Embark
2 At Sea
3 At Sea
4 At Sea
5 At Sea
6 At Sea
7 New York
Brooklyn Cruise Terminal Disembark

Don't forget the daily service charge around $25 (2) unless they changed it now.

What about meals? Are they included?

I take it this excursion involves time travel, given the outbound journey is on the 10th?

No, that's perfect. Book a return flight from UK to New York. Fly to New York in time for 1st November, take boat back for 7 days on choppy seas with no places to visit. Get back on boat the next day with everyone who will be going on the real cruise in the Caribean. 6 more days on choppy waters in storms with no places to visit and then get your return flight from New York.

The good thing is all meals included! Should set you back only around a grand for a 2 week holiday.

fly back the 27th one way is $380 with 1800flyeurope

with the TA cruise and the 11n caribbean this is not a bad package if you can put it together.

US TAs normaly act as agents so the cruise line takes the money not the TA.

It will be in final payment anyway so they would have to pay up quick.

Unlikely Cunard will go bust, there is a one way flight with BA for $380ish so that fairly safe if they atualy fly the plane.

Looks like the offer/misprice is over. Make sure you change to no air to get a cruise only price and they still have an offer on the Britannia Balcony stateroms Fare per person starting from: £569.00, half the price of an inside cabin. No more £284 though as far as I can see.

Still available at £285
12 Oct (NY-UK)
19 Oct (UK-NY)
1 Nov (NY-UK)
so add a 7n stay between the 2 7n QM2 newengland 7 cruise might be available through the US.

Edit: looks like Cunard have droped these from the site now, might be available with a phone call.
