I know the HMV website is saying 3 discs but the picture says 4 disc set! I am pretty sure this only comes as a four disc set.

When the dramatic television series QUEER AS FOLK appeared on England's artsy and liberal Channel 4 in 1999, it was an unprecedented move, even for them. The series, which honestly tackles the intricate and complex story of three Manchester gay men and their trials and relationships, deals with sex explicitly and does not shy away from controversial subject matter. Fortunately, because of its beautiful handling, layered storylines, and nuanced, complicated characters, it was a huge success. QUEER AS FOLK, which tracks the characters of Stuart (the charismatic Aiden Gillen), a wildly promiscuous, often callous advertising executive, Vince (Craig Kelly,) the overly nice and unintentionally celibate grocery store manager, and Nathan (Charlie Hunnan,) the attractive and immature 15-year old who falls in love with Stuart and follows his example, is a highly important and incredibly involving step for television.

Good series, I don't get why C4/BBC1 haven't tried to do some modern gay series.

If you haven't caught up with the US/Canadian version - all FIVE series, 83 episodes of it - then suggest you check it out. The first episode will seem SO strange after being familiar with the UK actors and the original plotlines, but by the third episode you'll be hooked...

I loved the British series when it was on, and only recently watched the US version. I didn't think I could love it more than the British one but I do - much more chance for the characters to develop, and get to know them. Plus Debbie being played by Cagney is brilliant!

Ordered for myself & voted hot. Great soundtrack too, reminds me of the days when I actually used to go out clubbing on the gay scene. Cheers :)

I remember watching this when i lived in Hong Kong - I actually thought it was a comedy show and almost dropped my coffee hehe

As a straight bloke, I do admit I felt a bit unnerved by the rawness of the show - but it was pretty well done.

Thought the scene when the guy with the fake chest "prosthetic" was following one of the characters home in the jeep was hilarous

"are we ******* then?' :w00t:

Great series, got hooked quickly. Only seen series 1 & 2 so far.
Anyone know any offers on QAF US, and if they sell all seasons in one boxset?

I got mine through today & can confirm, although HMV state it's 3 disc, that it is the 4 disc version :)
