Sorry for the ignorance is this an electric just plug in and go fire? and do you think it would look odd on the wall with a hearth on the floor as cant afford to take this up as we have got a wood floor down?

I think these fires have a clunky back which means you need a hole in the wall to set them into, then you just plug it in. Not sure how it would look just sitting on a hearth.

Is this electric or gas?

Sorry I did mean hung on the wall above the hearth - no good for me if it needed to go in a hole in the wall.

Why not?
It looks like a wall mounted fire, not a hole in the wall fire.

i have a similar one just hangs on a bracket on the wall and plugs in the mains and away you go..

They are just a fancy fan heater really but look really nice

Anyone see the dimensions for this?

An excellent wall mounted fireplace with real flame effect that is independent from the heater. Has a stylish bevelled edge mirror glass front panel with pebble effect, this contemporary design would look amazing in any home. Its manual or remote control operated and easy to mount on your wall so you can sit back and operate the fire from the comfort of your armchair, (remote requires 2x AAA batteries not included). Also Offers 2 levels of heating 900w with a maximum of 1800w and has a dimmer switch to soften or brighten the fire glow effect. Box dimensions: approx H59cm x W74cm.

ive actually had this fire got it off ebay, didnt have it long as wanted an lcd fire which we now have but this was nice and seems a bargain at £90, this fire is for wall mounting it comes with brackets which screw on the wall then hang the fire very simple to do.

£140+ on Ebay, so looks like a good buy. Heat from me & the fire!

You cant mount these things inside a wall as the heat comes out the vents in the top, have you never seen a wall mounted electric fire before???
