I'm always confused by these things, does anyone out there have vynl records who would then want to play (or convert to mp3) them through their computer on USB?

Serious audiophiles would rather smash their records than do this I suspect, whilst most computer literate 'youngsters' & not so young people (including me!) probably already use mp3's, and most likely have some cd's in tucked away in the cupboard somewhere.

(PS this isnt a comment on value of the deal itself, I've neither voted it hot or cold)

I do. Quite a bit.

I'd never really use one of the though as the quality isn't likely to be a fraction of a real record deck. They are handy though for anyone without as it saves getting those funny looks when you're on the bus and start cursing when your Duane Eddy records start jumping...

Just me then?!?
