I just picked up one of these at a Home Bargains in Hull. Well worth a couple of quid, even if only to save turning the chips half way through cooking.

Quickachips is a fantastic invention recently featured on Dragons Den. The Quickachip basket will give superb tasting oven chips in superquick time. It allows air to circulate to ensure all round crisp chips every time! Placed directly on the oven shelf the Quickachip basket allows hot air to circulate to give your oven chips, garlic bread & pastries that perfect all - round crispness. Quickachips allows more even contact with the heat of the oven & therefore avoids soggy foods. The Quickachips basket is also great for BBQs & gives you control over your cooking: no more losing kebabs, sausages or vegetarian food to the coals! Quickachips is freezer & dishwasher safe. Quickachips withstands temperatures up to 260 C / 500 F / Gas Mark 10. Cook Quick & Serve Fast.

For those who don't live near a Home Bargains store then you can pick these up from ebay for £1.49 and £1.75 P&P so still not a bad deal for £3.25 since Amazon sell them for £9.99.

Had one of these from home bargains. Chips still needed turning a little and you should put another tray under it, on the next shelf to stop any fatty drips. It may be quicker but you'll spend more time cleaning the oven and the extra tray.
To be honest, if you like chips then your probably better off frying them, I doubt they are much worse for your body if they are fryed at the correct heat and for the correct time.

I had one of these (ended up binning it) and to be honest they aren't that good. They tend to burn edges of chips while leaving the middle just done enough (although it would be nicer to cook them longer if you didn't risk burning them because of this), they may be ok for a pizza though.

you can easily cook enuf chips for 4 adults... no problem atall.. prob enuf space for 5 ppl aswell.

these are really good. cook the chips quicker and they taste better than on a tray, and the chips dont need turnin etc....
never had any oil drippin from the chips, if u use oven chips on a tray ull know if the tray is full of oil, if it is id get some new chips!

I have a similar one here, called Cookamesh.
It's made by the same people who do Toastabags.
Bought it from Halfcost for £1 a while back.
Still in it's bag! lol

so the general consensus is that they're pretty rubbish then.

They do these in the poundshop too, also flat ones, ideal for cooking sausage rolls, pizzas etc.

so cold from me.

Looks good, would like one and voted hot - but not much chance of me ever finding a Home Bargains store.

Just so the people who still want one know, they may also be at 'inStore' shops as well. They are the exact same shop as Home Bargains, the only difference is the name.

My missus, who is a vet nurse, says you need to get your dog looked at asap if their 'doo' looks like that. You have one unhealthy dog apparently!

It says on the label safe up to gas mark 8 and whatever that is in euros. If it is dripping plastic over your shelves, then turn the heat down.

Not that useful for chips, as stated before here. The edges burn before the centre of the chip starts to cook. Might work better in a fan assisted oven.

I'm confused here - I've been cooking oven chips for decades (often with something else on the cooking tray, usually pizza) and I have *never* turned over an oven chip mid-way through cooking in my life! I don't see the point of this chip basket - isn't it yet another thing to clean in addition to your cooking tray?

Also, the photo shows someone with no gloves pouring the chips from the basket - I presume the basket remains stone cold, even when it's just been removed from the oven?
