Some good deals and in stock on screwfix clearance. Reduced from £20.42 this is one of the ones that stood out as it includes a decent case, and 1000 screws. At less than 1p per screw it's the cheapest I've ever had...

Most stores have these in stock but if you need it delivered then if you do spend over £25 there is a free delivery code at the moment ( FD25MAY )

There is another reasonable deal here with a metal case http://www.screwfix.com/p/quicksilver-handy-trade-screw-plug-case-2000-pieces/79910?cm_sp=Landing_Page-_-Clearance-_-79910

but that comes with a number of wall plugs so isn't such a good deal in IMHO

Hope this helps someone

Good find but - Sorry I must disagree with you.

Spend just an extra £5 more and get 1000 rawlplugs and a FAR superior storage box.?

METAL (Not Plastic) Boxes with removable compartments sell for over £10.00

No brainer really.

Go Here

Also add one or two f these for extra value.

Agreed, I bought one of these a while ago, great value and the case will last forever!

IMHO these are even better value - I have used both quicksilver and turbogold - and where you want ultimate driving power, resistance to splitting etc... turbogold are the Mutts nuts:

Seems pretty good value.

However "he says" I'd never use these screws, they don't look like they have a cutting head on them. As such, they are not as easy to drive in.

A little tip. Prior to screwing the scew in (as it were) rub it in your hair (if you have any), this will apply a little grease and will make driving them in easier. Be carefull how you perform this operation, otherwise you will have loads of small holes in your head !

Don't get as many big screws, which tend to cost a fair bit more relatively.

Oh and given the choice, I'd definitely go for 'Turbo Gold'. May cost more than others, but make most jobs that much easier that it's worth it unless you're on a serious budget.

If your going to Trade counter make sure they will give you it at this price, in my experience with screwfix special offer's website price does not always apply to the Trade counter.

I have to agree. Turbogold are much better and worth paying the extra for the time saving.
