I've been flicking between Quidco and the MS Store loads and gutted I didn't go for a Forza+Fifa around Black Friday that would have worked out at £269

This is close but I think the Asda deal (game + Kinect for £299) is better

ASDA deal is a mess, cancelled my order they will never have that stock. Pity the Assasinc creed bundle @ £299 - £45 is out of stock.

I once got £100 cashback on a 99p O2 simcard, I never thought it'd be paid out but it was, I felt like I'd won the lottery

I don't trust Quidco. They were supposed to give me £40 after tracking my car insurance and then declined it
#12
have also had issues with quidco and have lost over 300quid in cashback and they offered 20 as compensation. they used to be so good but in recent years have been really bad.

good deals on xb1 though if u get the cashback tht is

Where did you get that from? I have also placed the order... am I in for a disappointment?

I hope the asda deal does pan out, I was so annoyed, I selected click and collect for today after 5pm, but it hasn't even dispatched yet, though the money was taken from my account today... Has anyone received one yet? I apologise for asking in an unrelated thread, but I can't seem to find the original on my phone :)

Good to know. Which bundle is that for? I've ordered the Xbox One (White) Sunset Overdrive bundle and am wondering if I'd get the full £45 cash back.

You'll get a refund and a £25 voucher to be spent on asda direct
#24
I got a reply to my query saying they've run out and have had to cancel my order, I'll be getting a refund in 3 to 5 days, and a £25 e voucher as apology, seems a poor substitute to being down 300 quid for a week due to their mistake though! Oh well, anyone else wondering, maybe this news will give you an answer.

Good to see that you have the right attitude (took a punt, didn't come off.... move on) unlike some!!! You get a cheap game and they get a bit of kudos back :) Still some decent deals at GAME.

Did they take your money or only authorise it? If they actually took the money then you will receive the Xbox, as them taking the money enters both you and them into a legal contract under, I believe, the sales of goods act. It's like if you went to the checkout in Asda with an Xbox One marked up at £200 and they scan it and it comes up at £200, once they take your money, they can't go back on it.

But if you were to go to the checkout with an Xbox One marked up at £200, and they either scan it and it comes up as full price, or they do a price check and find out it's true price, and they tell you the real price before you hand over any money, then you are not in any form of contract and you have no right to have the Xbox at the £200 price tag you were expecting.

I hope that wasn't too confusing. No doubt if any of this is wrong, someone will fill in the errors for me :).

Come to think of it, what was the Asda deal? I must've missed it, but it seems to have the community in a bit of a stir.

Actually I meant "seriously" as in you'd not heard about the Asda fiasco hence my link! BUT actually, I think you will find that you are are wrong anyway and you need to be clear before you misinform others albeit in good faith.

Due to many e-tailers being stung by price errors most if not all will state now in their T&C that contract is ONLY formed on DESPATCH ie, when its too late for them to do anything as any errors are out of the door and on their way!

Any errors found to that point can result in cancellation without prejudice, as long as they refund in full, they are acting perfectly within the law. I suppose its a trade off against the fact that we have the legal right to return anything for any reason 14 days after on-line purchase. We cant have it all our own way ;)

just for the record, it won't be quidco that declined it, it will be the insurance company or the affiliate network that they deal with! makes me laugh when people assume Quidco are at fault for something being declined
