Because Quidco uses your computer or mobile phone to track your purchases, Quidco can generally only be used online (although some retailers are now experimenting with instore Quidco deals).
In-store Cashback with Quidco
Quidco can be used on desktop and laptop computers, as well as tablets and mobile phones, either via the browser using their website at www.quidco.com or one of the native apps. Occasionally, some retailers will offer a higher cashback amount if you shop with them using your mobile phone. If you plan to do this, it’s a good idea to download one of the Quidco apps to your phone in order to ensure your cashback is properly tracked.
Save Cashback with Quidco
Quidco has excellent feedback on TrustPilot and was voted the best cashback site in 2012 and 2013 at the Consumer Moneyfacts Awards.
To keep your data safe, Quidco uses SSL technology which encrypts your personal information.
In terms of information, Quidco doesn’t have access to your credit card or payment information. Only the retailer that you make the purchase with has access to this. Quidco does track which retailer you shop with and the value of the purchase so that it can collect your cashback, and follow up on any claims if necessary.
The Cashback site tracks your visits to retailers using cookies. If you are using ad blocking software, Quidco may not be able to track your purchase and award you cashback. You should either turn your ad blocking software off temporarily, or use another device.
Purchasing and Getting Cashback at Quidco
Quidco works with a variety of retailers including big travel companies, online clothing shops and broadband companies – the list is varied and almost endless. You can browse on the website in these sections:
Quidco often works with retailers who take part in Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the January Sales, to help highlight important deals and special offers. Cashback through Quidco, combined with each retailer’s promotions for that weekend, can significantly reduce the cost of many products.
The cashback site also has sections where you can find top cashback or free cashback, mobile and in-store vouchers or hidden gems. You can also find a list of the hottest offers on their website and every week you will find a new deal of the week.
We at HotUKDeals also have a Quidco voucher codes page where we list discount codes that work alongside cashback, because some retailers don’t allow you to use both a voucher code and a cashback website.
Payment Methods at quidco.com
Quidco doesn’t take payments, not even for their Premium membership. When you shop at a retailer, for example Tesco or John Lewis, you will shop with them directly and that merchant will handle the payment processing. What payment methods are accepted depends upon the retailer.
If you want to upgrade your Quidco account to premium, you won’t pay by card or PayPal. Quidco will simply take the £5 annual fee from your earnings. If you haven’t already earned any money through Quidco, they’ll take it from your future earnings. Don’t worry, you’ll automatically be given a free account and if you do upgrade and later decide to downgrade, you can do that from within your account settings.
