Jesus, shopping is complicated now. Not only do you have to look for the best price at each retailer and possibly try and price match that way, you also have to try and price match your cashback!
Capitalism.

First world problems.

I've recently switched back to quidco, and couldn't believe it when I saw this just the other week. They doubled the difference on topcashback for argos who were offering 10% cashback at the time. Giving me almost 20% cashback on a purchase - provided argos actually pay out.

Note I switched back before seeing the deal. I'm most impressed thus far. Now I just need to downgrade my topcashback before the end of the year.
use both, but tcb take forever to pay out, a lot longer than quidco in my experience.
Quidco is owned by the same people who own HUKDs. Obviously trying to drive out the competition to complete their monopoly.

How can they say in small print it is only for invited by email customers when at the same time the first thing you see when you open their website is prominent banner saying: Enjoy a £10 bonus on your festive essentials.???
And when you click Opt-in box you get: Great news! You've qualified for your £10 cashback bonus
Offer activated! Nice work, you're part of an exclusive group.

Underhand tactic IMHO
It doesn't tell you that you need to opt-in via email.
You just need to have opted in and can do so via the link on the website or via an emailed link.
Specifically: "Participation is by eligible account holdersmaking a cashback qualifying purchase at either Asda, Tesco, Marks & Spencer Christmas Food to Order, Waitrose, Morrisons or Iceland, and opting in via email link or link on homepage, http://www.quidco.com/incentives/grocery-ten-bonus."
I think the main problem is that eligibility has not been defined by Quidco. Surely that should be the centre piece of the ts&cs. That omission makes them inadequate IMO.
But it quite clearly states that you're eligible if you click the opting in link on the website or sent via email and then make a purchase that qualifies you for cashback (the qualification for which being stated on each retailer's page on the website).

lost all confidence in Quidco. They have become a very deceitful organisation. Going to stick to Topcashback from own on. Pointless having headline grabbing offers if they never pay out.
Back to Topcashback for me

Again cashback is not guaranteed using quidco
I don't think any of these are comparable to the K7000, so to say the deal is the non deal of the day is unfair.
Also, quidco isn't a scam. I have obtain nearly £2k of cashback over the years, but, it should always be considered a bonus not a factor in buying something. They have yet to deny me a claim when the cashback hasn't tracked. Just provide the evidence required.
And as to your second comment about duty to report a deal. It's nice to know you are here to just benefit from others work and not contribute yourself!!!
Seems like my comment earlier was deleated.
I was commenting on the DEAL not your series 7 (which you keep goning on about). I have even given examples of what the prices you can get from other retailers. I checked what I was looking for and could not see any deals. I do not think I have to check EVERY item in the deal. For some the only competitor was pc world so not really a valid alternative.
I use quidco and have done 1600 in cashback so do use them. I have also raised claims on some expensive items ie ipads etc to see after a few months they have been declined.
I also posted in this thread yesterday
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/digihome-50-4k-ultra-hd-led-smart-tv-299-delivered-co-op-via-ebay-55-329-2559563?utm_source=Thread%2BSubscription&utm_medium=email&utm_content=2559563&utm_campaign=Comment%2BUpdate
which I think helped the community. Just because I don't post many deals don't think I'm not helping. Even my comment in here was meant to help but perhaps I should not because people should only upvote and not downvote deals and only praise all deals and not mention the possible pitfalls of the deal.

Out of interest when cashback doesn't track, what evidence do you provide to make a claim that you have gone via quidco to make the purchase?
When you raise a query it asks you to pick the transaction you clicked through and actually purchased on (there could be a few click throughs if you are like me and can't commit to buying there and then X) ) you normally just have to provide an order reference then and an amount you are expecting if it hasn't tracked that. It's certainly not onerous, it might delay things a bit but you will get it eventually. It's certainly not a scam and I've saved quite a bit through Quidco, before they existed I used to sign up for referal links for website publishers and get my cashback that way. Which is what some clever person at Quidco wised up and started a whole business around.

Spot on, usually it doesn't track when I've mucked about on their website too much, putting things in and out of my basket. But it really does work 95% of the time. I just ordered a Pizza. got 16p tracked instantly. Hey, it won't make me rich but I can audition for Scrooge!

I find that mobile contracts, and utility switching pay the big bucks. I have £93 worth of tracked stuff at the mo and still loads of xmas shopping to do!

Back on track. The UE55KS7000 is still £949 at Currys, quidco should work making it the cheapest out there by far. No guarantee of tracking but can't see quidco denying a claim if it doesn't track straight away.

hot deal and bah humbug to the nay sayers (I told you, I can be Scrooge!)

Personally I am hanging in for Cyber Monday and hoping for £899 at Richer Sounds or JL.

This isn't 50% cashback. Looks like it's a "top up" of an additional 50% on the normal rate of cashback, so if it's 10% normally they're now giving 15%.

Hi, could anyone explain how it works
do I
1) go to quidco then flubit ask for a quote
2) log off flubit and later get flubit email reply
3) so go to quidco then log back to flubit
4) click the demand results and go through purhcase
is that right? or I just go throught 3) and 4)
thanks in advance
Will try and help....the process above is exactly what I did...
1) Signed into quidco....went to flubit through quidco
2) Signed into my Flubit account
3) Placed demand on Flubit
4) Waited until I got an email saying offer created
5) Went back to Quidco and went through to Flubit again from Quidco
6) Purchased item on Flubit
This seemed to work as my cashback has tracked in Quidco....decided to do it that way as thought there was more chance of cashback tracking if I placed the original demand by going through Quidco to begin with...as to whether it'll be paid or not is anyone's guess...that's why I said to be aware that cashback isn't guaranteed but seeing as the price I was being offered for the items I was looking for was lower than anywhere else anyway it's not the end of the world if they don't pay out the cashback...just thought it was a nice little bonus if they do ;)
thanks very much. you are great! That is extremely helpful and a best answer to my uncertainty.
Delighted to have been of help as I really wasn't sure if I was being helpful or totally confusing...it's funny how you can do something automatically but then find when you try to explain it to someone else it suddenly becomes really complicated...lol...
Also wanted to say a HUGE thank you for your kind words...very much appreciated :3
thanks you are most welcome. I often come back to this site because of wonderful people like you very helpful and I learnt a big deal from you lot.

Sorry for the delay in replying...thought I had but you know what thought did....not a lot...lol...

Seriously though a HUGE thank you to you for taking the time to reply and I'd also like to wish you a wonderful Christmas full of happiness when it comes...
This saved me over £40, thanks OP :)

Quidco – From Startup to Multi-Million Member Site

QuidcoQuidco was launched in 2005 by Sheffield University students Paul and Jennifer Nikkel. Initially the site was aimed at students, although it quickly gathered interest outside of the student community. In 2007, Quidco opened an office in London while retaining the office in Sheffield.

Initially, Quidco charged a £5 joining fee for members, however, when other free cashback sites like Topcashback started gaining market share they changed their membership types. Quidco now offers two types of membership: standard and premium. Premium members get paid faster by retailers, no advertising, premium support, and special bonuses. They’re also able to get a 2% bonus when they receive their cashback as an Amazon gift card as opposed to a normal BAC pay out. Today, Quidco has over 6 million members and more than 100 members of staff.

Shopping with Quidco

Because Quidco uses your computer or mobile phone to track your purchases, Quidco can generally only be used online (although some retailers are now experimenting with instore Quidco deals).

In-store Cashback with Quidco

Quidco can be used on desktop and laptop computers, as well as tablets and mobile phones, either via the browser using their website at www.quidco.com or one of the native apps. Occasionally, some retailers will offer a higher cashback amount if you shop with them using your mobile phone. If you plan to do this, it’s a good idea to download one of the Quidco apps to your phone in order to ensure your cashback is properly tracked.

Save Cashback with Quidco

Quidco has excellent feedback on TrustPilot and was voted the best cashback site in 2012 and 2013 at the Consumer Moneyfacts Awards.

  • To keep your data safe, Quidco uses SSL technology which encrypts your personal information.
  • In terms of information, Quidco doesn’t have access to your credit card or payment information. Only the retailer that you make the purchase with has access to this. Quidco does track which retailer you shop with and the value of the purchase so that it can collect your cashback, and follow up on any claims if necessary.

The Cashback site tracks your visits to retailers using cookies. If you are using ad blocking software, Quidco may not be able to track your purchase and award you cashback. You should either turn your ad blocking software off temporarily, or use another device.

How to Shop with Quidco

Saving More Money at Quidco

Quidco on black fridayQuidco often works with retailers who take part in Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and the January Sales, to help highlight important deals and special offers. Cashback through Quidco, combined with each retailer’s promotions for that weekend, can significantly reduce the cost of many products.

The cashback site also has sections where you can find top cashback or free cashback, mobile and in-store vouchers or hidden gems. You can also find a list of the hottest offers on their website and every week you will find a new deal of the week.

We at HotUKDeals also have a Quidco voucher codes page where we list discount codes that work alongside cashback, because some retailers don’t allow you to use both a voucher code and a cashback website.

Payment Methods at quidco.com

Quidco doesn’t take payments, not even for their Premium membership. When you shop at a retailer, for example Tesco or John Lewis, you will shop with them directly and that merchant will handle the payment processing. What payment methods are accepted depends upon the retailer.

If you want to upgrade your Quidco account to premium, you won’t pay by card or PayPal. Quidco will simply take the £5 annual fee from your earnings. If you haven’t already earned any money through Quidco, they’ll take it from your future earnings. Don’t worry, you’ll automatically be given a free account and if you do upgrade and later decide to downgrade, you can do that from within your account settings.
