Yes I think you can, although its already cooked, but you can use frozen quorn fillets and mince to cook.
Google it. Why the cold votes??

HOT from me. Last time I ate meat was in the 1980's and I love most Quorn products. Never tried this and I'm looking forward to trying it. Thanks OP, strange no meat eaters in the thread yet. "why do veggies, blah blah blah?"
#5
Vegetarians disappoint me! Eat some meat!!!
#6
I am not a vegetarian but do eat it from time to time - the pieces are good in a curry and they keep their shape. I also love the scotch egg thingies, they never seem to be on offer
#7
How big are the packs?

I've always found it more economical to buy the Quorn chicken fillets (300g I think), cut those up and add the spices myself.

Might give these a go at this price though.
#8
We are morally superior vegetarians, but let's eat something that emulates the taste of a slaughtered animal anyway!

Just kidding, Quorn is pretty nice actually. Meat's better though. :]
#9
Don't really like this stuff as I think it's a bit mushy.

I prefer to use the Quorn fillets or pieces and spice them myself.
#10
Its a sexy offer! This stuff is really good as its high in protein......................and cuts out any animal fats! so overall a healthier alternative to meat.................but some times you just got to have a dead animal!

You can't deny that he has a point though. Then you get the vegetarians who wear leather. Hohoho.

Don't know if he has a point, his post was so predictable that I've already forgotten it and can't be bothered to re-read it. What about carvivores with pets? HO HO HO

Not a vegetarian but I must say I do quite like a bit of Quorn for sandwhich filler!

Not sure why it is, but if you buy regular chunky chicken pieces with whatever kind of seasoning they usually have (tikka, chilli or anything else) the chicken is usually horrible, with fat or gristle - especially Tesco's chicken, eww.

Voted hot :)

There isn't a point.
Those who buy the stuff don't neccessarily run these companies who make it meat shaped or call it sausages or burger.
It's just a way of naming a product so people can relate to it in a meat eating society.
I certainly don't ask anyone to call it sausage, chickenless chicken etc.

Plus, is it such a weird idea that a vegetarian might not eat meat because they care for animals but actually enjoy the taste of meat? (Therefore there's a market for this)

Just as some vegetarians don't eat meat because they don't like it and not because of any moral issues.

I don't live off Quorn or any other fake meats but it's great for new veggies who find the transition difficult at first.

Not really a point. Why would Quorn NOT be made to appear like regular meat when aimed as a meat substitute??

Are you seriously comparing the food industry with the clothing industry in the impact it has on animals? Is there any rule that says why a vegetarian can't wear leather? Aren't they doing something more than non-vegetarians by not eating meat?

I'm not a vegetarian myself BTW.

Hohoho?

It's funny that it's supposed to be the vegetarians that are militant but it's the meat eaters that are so offended by the thought that some might prefer not to eat meat that they have to abuse people for a lifestyle choice. The majority of veggies do it for personal reasons and aren't trying to convert everyone else.

Because it is easier. At BBQ's you can still enjoy a burger and the person catering doesn't have to go that much out of the way because the quorn products still fit in the buns / hot dog rolls. :whistling:
