This is far better than real meat.

Already posted sort of, but never mind.

Funny how on vegetarian deals, you always get a group of people whining about how disgusting/unhealthy it is, but you don't get the same people saying that on meat deals.

Why do vegetarian/vegan diets offend people so much? Surely it's a meat-rich diet that should offend people?

If it was better than real meat then it would be sold by many more companies and available in restaurants. Its good for its intended market, but you will never get better than quality meat.

Better isa subjective word. I'm not vegetarian but I do like the taste of the mince. A lot less greasy. What's not subjective is that this is a healthier alternative

The pepperoni pizza bread is disgusting, and I'm a huge fan of Quorn.

Meat tastes better to me, but they are two completely separate things. That's like comparing apples with meat-free oranges!
I do however, enjoy Quorn quite a lot and it's a great protein-rich alternative to meat every so often.

Thanks for sharing your personal preference.
Now can we all get back to trying it for ourselves and making up our own mind?

Thanks for the heads up. Time to stock up again!

IMO this stuff which is basically fungus is disgusting, also a lot of people are allergic to it. giving them stomach aches and nausea.

Then I would advise you to avoid ASDA's Mushroom Milk.

some, not a lot, are allergic to it. Show me a food which no one is allergic to.

the first 3 letters of your post are all anyone needs to pay attention too, it is just your opinion.

Please use Google before spreading misinformation.
Fungus = disgusting.. You mean like mushrooms?
"A lot" of people allergic to it.. So 1 in 100,000-200,000 = "a lot"?

Some people are insecure about their life choices and have to overcompensate

My brother is like that... He drives around in a limo and he'll only eat foods like baby potatoes petite pois and mini kievs.

I already posted this with the quorn roast 5 days ago.
Along with the other 2 deals posted since for sausages and burgers a simple search for quorn would have spotted this, but nevermind, it'll be another deal to discuss the rights or wrongs of quorn :)

Well said, I get it in 'real life' too. I turned veggie a year ago and the way some people reacted you would think I'd stepped in something nasty.

Yeah, funny how much stick we veggies get for our choice. Not sure why so many feel the need to show offence for something they could not do or do not have the brain capacity to understand. Or maybe they are just plain ignorant. Who knows?

I'm a lifelong vegetarian and I'm afraid you just have to laugh at the anti-vegetarian brigade. I never comment on what other people eat, but the number of people who think it is okay to start attacking my beliefs when they see me eating something vegetarian just beggars belief. I agree that it is insecurity. They see vegetarianism as an attack on their lifestyle.

I've been veggie about last 2 years ...nice to get these type of bargains. got some of the burgers few days back ..great

Maybe it's your attitude that causes people to give you stick? Showing offence? Lack of brain capacity, ignorant? Did you really type those things and mean them?

You don't 'have' to be vege to enjoy/eat this stuff. Even the tv adverts avoid saying they are an alternative to meat. I'm vegetarian-curious ;-)

For anyone who doesn't understand why people are vegan/vegetarian you only have to watch vegucated.

Beer
Bread
Mushrooms
Wine
Marmite
Cheese (especially "disgusting" blue varieties)

It's amusing the amount of crap meat eaters always spout when quorn deals come up.Is their problem that they are blood thirsty primitives that haven't evolved enough yet and can rightly be looked down on by vegetarians?Perhaps so,you may well think so,I couldn't possibly comment.
