Forgive me, but I don't understand. Why buy a Quorn sausage, an imitation meat product , if you abhor eating meat?

Not all vegetarians like imitation meat, but a lot of them grew up eating meat, so they will be familiar with the texture and taste of sausages. I guess it's nice to enjoy something in a familiar form without feeling guilty about eating a dead animal.

Ridiculously salty!

actually it doesn't taste much like meat to me, it's only the same shape as a sausage. Regular meat sausages don't look much like meat anyway so neither quorn nor 'meat' sausages can claim to be the original!

Tried to get these at my local Morrisons for the last two weeks, no sign they'd even been stocked, contacted Morrisons who said the offer was only on-line,but no-where does it state that on their website.

"Quorn Meat Free Sausages " aka : man made fungus , which can cause reaction in some people , including death.

Yuck! horrible stuff. if you don't want to eat meat then why would you buy something that looks a bit like meat but tastes revolting. just eat a carrot instead. it doesn't taste like a sausage but the shape will be familiar to those that know what a sausage is.

I have a pet pig and don't eat pork anymore. these are a great substitute and i have grown to like them more than real sausages.

i have some pet fungus so I don't eat quorn anymore. The flesh of dead animals makes a great substitute and I actually prefer it to quorn now.

Some people like the taste of meat but not the actual killing of animals. Quorn is perfect for the person transitioning to vegi. Quorn isn't an exact replica of the taste of meat but it's pretty damn close. I made a burger with some the other day and if you told me it was meat I probably would have believed you

I am a meat eater, my wife is not. Buying Quorn mince for adding to shepherd pie etc means only one meal has to be cooked. Tasteless on its own but fine when mixed with strong flavours and chilli.
