I dunno what beef you eat, but this defo doesn't taste of meat at all. Infact I can't honestly say what it tastes like, its so generic

I love the stuff. No smell or gristle in it and it soaks up flavour from your sauces like nothing else.

I use it a lot in Lasagnes and chilli con carnes. In fact I haven't bought meat mince for a few years now.

I must add that I'm not a vegitarian, we just like the taste of the Quorn products. The swedish meatballs are absolutely delicious as well.

When i was a vegetarian i used to hate all this "pretend to be meat" garbage. Id rather just eat proper fruit and veg, not something trying to look and taste like the exact thing i was not eating....

Even now whilst no longer vegetarian i carry this same sentiment.... Quorn is made from micro fungus or something fairly disgusting..... Voted hot for people who enjoy this though...

But there's no protein in fruit and veg. Being vegetarian isn't just about avoiding meat and eating fruit and veg; it's about not eating animal products but still getting a balanced diet. You need protein from somewhere, and just eating fruit and veg wont give you any.

Protein? Pulses were veg last time I heard. Nuts (not you nixx, the food). :)

I eat Quorn because I like the taste and texture and its cheaper than "real" meat.

I love Chilli and Lasagne but cant stand mince - its full of fat and gristle unless you spend lots on it so Quorn is an ideal alternative.

We had a friend over for a meal and she's a very very fussy eater. We served her up a large portion of Lasange made with Quorn mince. It was only after her third trip to the kitchen for seconds (and thirds) that we let her know she was eating a veggie dinner.

My eldest son (14 years old) is a vegetarian and it takes some convincing that its not real meat ;)

I had a vegetarian over for tea, and it wasn't till after her 3rd bowl of chilli that I let her know she was eating meat.

If only vegetarians were as understanding as meat eaters.

Laugh? I nearly died.

Ever thought of doing stand up?

wey!, something to take the veggies eyes off the kfc deal!

Anyway, Great deal Heat added. Not that I make a difference.

I prefer this to minced beef, no fat and it soaks up flavours much better (and easier to cook).
99p is a bargain! Heat added!
