I did a quick google search and it appears that the price of building your own pc comes to more or less same.

Do let me know which PC you end up buying.
I am interested in buying a sub £500 quad core amd pc in next 2-3 months.
I have been reading articles on http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/ and http://www.buildyourown.org.uk/ and now I think it is not that difficult to build your own PC.
