Agreed as quidco may not track.
#9
I joined the RAC last night on the £29 deal via Quidco but it has tracked at £15 ONLY , NOT £20 ! SO beware .
#10
clearly stated on quidco £20 clear your cookies first

I took out car insurance through the RAC , in Aug/Sep 08, they were offering £70 quidco. I have still not recieved any money even though it validated very quickly, don't go for the deal if only because you are relying on Quidco!
#12
I joined the RAC via Quidco last year and it tracked 6 Times! They declined 4 and paid out on 2, nice little profit and free cover!
Fingers crossed here for a second time!

It has tracked at £15 , so I don`t thick there`s a cookie issue, it`s more a case of RAC has reduced its cashback , yet quidco has not updated it`s site and still states £20 ! which is a bit of a con.
#14
also gets you 5% off play.com LEGITIMATELY ;-)
#15
Does anybody know the cost of "towage" if they have to tow you more than 10 miles as stated in their basic roadside package?

As above, dont rely on Quidco anytime soon. Its taken a year of chasing for me to get paid
#17
quidco never tracked my RAC join up couple of months ago
#18
if you are new to quidco they take £5 out of the first earnings, it's not that is it?
#19
Me thinks RAC read the AA thread and decided to up quidco.
#20
Bought this in DEC 2007, Quidco never paid out. (yet) Raised three different tickets with Quidco, nothing came of it. It still moves the "epected payout date" to be the next month, whatever month we we're in now.

Not voting cold, as it may be just me...but beware that Quidco is even less "guaranteed" with this one than it is with others.

HTH.
#21
Quidco hasn't tracked with RAC for me..ordered it a week or two ago
suspended#22
Topcashback are offering £20. Don't trust Quidco pretty useless
#23
This is very basic cover, only get it if you don't expect to breakdown.

They will attend and fix it if they can, but most of the time these days, with the technology in cars, I would expect you would need to towed to a dealer.

They will help you change a tyre though I expect, and it is better than no cover at all.
#24
I took out 2 RAC Quidco offers last year, both tracked and were validated, neither have paid out despite enquiries. Quidco seem unwilling to take further action despite all their good statements, these days a lot of cashbacks don't seem to get paid even when they track properly. This year I've taken up the AA offer of £20 M&S vouchers that was on hotukdeals, they came after 1 week, much better than risky cashbacks

I word of warning! Quidco does not always track. I've also read feedback that when the amount is high, they will try to get out of their commitment. Remember, you will have to pay the bill in full if anything goes wrong! The price on this offer is therefore £29 and maybe £9.
#26
Ordered - I was needing this ! even at £29 its not a bad deal. Fingers crossed on quidco though.

RE:This is very basic cover, only get it if you don't expect to breakdown.

does anyone 'expect' to break down !?!

RE: They will attend and fix it if they can, but most of the time these days, with the technology in cars, I would expect you would need to towed to a dealer.

Its worth it for the tow alone, a friend of mine, she needed to get towed, cost her £150 ! imagine being at the side of a motorway or A-road without cover. nightmare !
#28
thats so good
#29
Price has gone up to 34.95p
#30
I've signed up to this today and the quidco has only tracked at £15. I'll launch an earnings enquiry in a couple of weeks.

*UPDATE* Has just updated to £20 as tracked. No guarantee to it turning up of course. Worth a punt and I need some cover.

One other bit of advice. Sign up this deal under Direct Debit as it's much easier to cancel the payment later on.
#31
Still £29 with AA, have gone with them through Cashback Kings (although Quidco is available).
#32
I think it was fair including Quidco in this one, as the deal is not a normal quidco one - but actually through quidco, as it takes you to a quidco specific site.

UPDATE Quidco has now increased to £20 ! , perhaps someone at the RAC or QUIDCO is a Hotukdeals member that reads these bloggs.

If i told you the moon was made of cheese would you believe that too?
Just received £120 from Quidco for Lloyds home insurance.
If a purchase doesn't track open an enquiry, always worked for me.
Use Quidco correctly and you will have no problems (over £330 saved so far)

Just making a point that it is basic. The free tow they offer has a distance limit, sometimes it is better paying a little better for the recovery option. But like I said this cover is better than nothing. Don't forget you can get all levels of cover with Tesco Clubcard vouchers.
