Warning: Quidco may have stated the wrong cashback amount. Please bear this in mind!! I have now expired this deal.

OK, hopefully this should work out correctly.
Quidco pay £40 cashback if taking out a personal policy over £30 (cashback not available if policy includes Free Recovery).

Choose the 'Single Cover' which costs £38.50 and you effectively get PAID £1.50 to take out the cover. Granted that you are not guaranteed the Quidco, but it has a 99.3% tracking percentage so you're pretty safe (assuming i've read the T&C's correctly).

Enjoy!

I'm just stating the Breakdown cover is £38.50. If people choose to ignore the cashback that's fine. That's why i've put the price as £38.50 and not -£1.50!

I have been quidco'ing for a couple of years now and the only time i have not had a payment was an RAC deal maybe I was unlucky but consider it a bonus if you get it... All other transactions fine

Took this policy (£38.50 cover) out this morning and tcb tracked at £23.46 this afternoon so fingers crossed it validates at correct amount and they dont decline it (_;)

DON'T bank on Cashback!
I bought AA cover through Quidco last Aug/Sept - still waiting for my Cashback. They are telling me I should receive it soon (it's the AAs hold up) but I still don't know whether i'll actually get it. Only went with them as the cashback deal was so good so fingers crossed as i'm owed over £40 :(
So basically, either you are taking the risk, or if you were going to buy it anyway then getting the cashback would be a bonus.
Just so you guys are aware....

I took out RAC car insurance last year £60 Quico. It took 7 months but I kept at Quidco and finaly got £55 paid.

I think there is a difference here between tcb and quidco. Personal cover (not vehicle) is £40 on quidco and £20 on tcb.

Autoaid breakdown cover £38 any car and spouse / partner

I suspect this is a typo on the Quidco page. I'd like Quidco to confirm first as they often get the wording mixed up.

Thanks OP

TCB is £23.46 for policies under £30 and £40 for polices over £30 up to £100, but tracks lower and then updates on validation (hopefully lol !)
#23
Looks to be a mistake. I think they've got confused with this:

£40 for Vehicle based policies worth £30-£100

I wouldn't count on getting this.

Sounded good at first but glad I held off by the looks of this.

Top cash back is for vehicle cover
Quidco is for personal cover.

The rules for the Quidco cashback are still live and all the Quidco T+C's look fulfilled.
In the past I've had good dealings with Quidco. Including the O2 offer that changed as soon as I bought the item but quidco still kept track of what they originally offered.
Call me an optimist but thanks OP, I found it useful and took the plunge.

Good case - get paid for cover
bad case - £20 cashback so cover for a year for £20. Not bad especially if you have a car over 10 years old so can't get vehicle only cover.
worst case - doesn't track. can always cancel or keep the cover. Not the end of the world

Quite right.

I took this out a couple of weeks ago - it tracked, but only at £20 rather than £40.

Same here , great company to deal with .

It says, (now at least) £40 for vehicle based policies over £30. A single car policy would be under £30.

A personal policy says it only gets £20

I'm a bit perplexed by this deal,my cars over 10 years old, which would be better, Qudco or TCB, personal or vehicle cover?. I'm looking for Roadside Assistance/Recovery/Home My AA renewal is due in next 3 weeks and they have quoted me £124. obviously looking for a cheaper deal!

If anyones interested, the AA price matched the RAC breakdown deal for me when I told them I wouldn't be renewing with them again, and I even quoted the RAC deal minus the TCB, which now means I don't have to wait for TCB to be paid out at all....
