Full price is £112 with online discount comes to £80.63.

Was going to use quidco to get some cashback but decided to call to see if i could get some money knocked off.

Was given a price of £50.32 (or there abouts) and that was without haggling so would be open to all customers. That is a saving of more than 37% of the online discounted price.

I took it out and i have 14 days to cancel if i change my mind.

This includes personal roadside and home start. So it covers you even if you are the passenger. Number to call is 0800 096 0731

I know there are cheaper deals out there but i wanted to go with RAC after reading many reviews.

And go easy on me it is my first post :-)

You guys probably know this, but both the AA and RAC have introductory discounts for the first year ONLY. Also, these deals are set up on annual direct debits - so make sure you call them 2 weeks before renewal and stop the automatic renewal. Swap every year and you get yourself a bargain!

I also happen to know that the AA offers half price breakdown cover (all levels) for current car insurance customers if they are willing to get a quote for their home insurance.

Be wary that the dearest place to purchase breakdown cover is from one of the RAC or AA men in the Shopping Malls or outside a Supermarket. Never buy from these, they are the most expensive

Take a look at the Money Saving Expert website before even thinking about this sort of cover.

Also, Mitsubishi owners can get cover for £18 if they continue to get their car servicing done by the main dealer, even after the warranty has finished
