There are a lot of insurance companies out there that will insure any 21 yr old who has held his licence for more than 2 years on a car for 1 day for around £10.
Well RAC will insure 2 drivers on a car up to insurance group 17 and worth less than £50000 for £10+insurance premium tax (should be around £1 but correct me if I am wrong) but the best thing is that quidco are offering £10 cashback which makes it around £1 for 2 drivers on a car (possibly for a day at the weekend or a daytrip somwhere?)

well, firstly quidco aint a guarantee, secondly this promotion wont run forever, thirdly doing this 365 times might count as 'abuse' but nothing stopping you from doing it a few times?
HOT!
you can have additional TEMPORARY insurance on a car.
so you could borrow your mates car for the day and use this offer.
or borrow a friends car, test drive etc
not illegal to have 2 policies,it is to claim on two though
and i wont let me get insured becuase ive used up my maximum number of days in 12 months (which i think is about 6 months)
the above refers to getting insured on the same car,
this is temporary insurance. one or two additional persons for a few days (1 day for the purpose of this deal) is allowed.
no. need to be 21 yrs old. 12mnths licence holder.

Most insurance companies will only allow you to insure a car if it is registered and owned by yourself anyway.
What you will need to do is get alternative quotes from other companies that will allow you to be a named drive on his policy.
I hope this helps.
So maybe worth checking with your existing insurer that you will still be insured! still a good deal if you have bought a new car though to drive it home!
duh........depends whos driving! the person on the original policy or the person on the day insurance
