Heat from me. Not sure what the quality will be like but though?

Looks identical to the one I got from halfords a few years ago.

That was reduced from £79 to £39 if it's the same the quality is excellent well worth every penny
#3
Just need a garage now, looks good though
#4
Had mine years. Paid about same. I use the Jack for the landy so all good but the creeper is crapper.

I have owned this exact kit for a few years now ....no problems with it other than the plastic handle on the trolley jack broke but was easily repaired with a minor mod.

I use it to work on my BMW ACS7 which is easily over 2 tons.

Have had the car clear off the ground sitting on the stands and trolley jack to refurb all the brakes ....although i did borrow my mates jack with extra stands to be on the safe side....;)

Def worth the money !

Its not that sturdy, just to say...
The stand after a while break as well as the wheel stopper and the little swivel wheel on the jack..
OK for light car, but I used this kit on a mercedes and it didn't take long before things started to get loose... Or broke... :(
Just to say.

No probs here...my BM weighs over 2 tons.

The kit in the picture above looks identical to mine.

Looks good for the price.

I had a set like this a few years ago, stands are good but jack will eventually leak oil although to be fair it did get quite a bit of use.
2 ton weight will lift pretty much anything as technically you are only jacking up one side of the car and not the full weight (unless you are keen on a balancing act!)

Sorry the reviews and quality puts me off. after all you only get one chance under a poorly reviewed jack & folding stands.:(

Thanks great deal. Picked up tonight from Basildon. Same spec as the halfords deal a month or so ago. The halfords deal was £50. Great spot cheers

Anybody has any good deals on 3 ton jacks?

This is not bad for occasional use, but for bigger cars I would get something more reliable.
Price wise its hot deal, as halfords sell similar set for 50quid... So this one is bargain really :)

It was a cheap corroded one :p
By the way, the stands and the jack give up the ghost but after a fair bit of use, that did not happen right away, just to say ;)

If it's anything like the halfords pack, I would bin the creeper immediately!

jack, chocks and axle stands should be fine though, and worth the cash

Awful reviews, i wouldnt risk my life under a car supported by cheap nasty stuff like this. Some things are worth paying that bit extra for.

Ideal present for someone you dont like though

They are non-collapsable, non-folding, welded stands, what gave up the ghost exactly?
#25
My bad. I thought they were foldable as it look like the kit I had. Mine was RAC branded as well. The stands I had were folding and the rivets on one stand broke and on the other they are dodgy now, the wheel stopper didn't go to my expectations and the little wheels are the rear of the jack broke, making really hard to move the thing...
#26
Can anyone recommend any alternatives?
Looking at the reviews has really put me off.

Bought it for £24.99 5 years ago, the creeper had to be repaired few times but still going. Oil pan cracked so repaired it with fibre glass. Chock got squashed by Volvo 4 x 4. The jack still going pretty strong but probably needs jack oil by now. Wrench, axle stands and oil filter remover ok.

Damn missed it. Too busy being indecisive.

would advise against buying this, went over to buy one, so excited, and after examing the welding on the axle stands, well, it said it all, I was not going to risk my life on those rubbish, a 5 year old can weld better then that !!!
