If you want just a trolley jack on it's own, LIDL will have them in their stores on monday for £9.99 (not RAC brand)

Welcome to HotUKDeals MrPinchPenny and Thanks for the info :)

I did see that offer today, it looks a good buy if you just want the trolley jack.

Thanks for the post edi, they're a bargain with the axle stands and wheel chocks!

I hate to say it as it sounds like I buy one of everything on here, but I have one of these kits. Mine was from Argos a couple of years ago in a sale, looks identical to this one and very handy it has been too.
Its not a good idea to get under a car with just a jack so the axle stands come in very handy too. My drive slopes so the chocks are also good for when I jack the rear up.
My mates seem to think they are good value too by the amount of times they borrow it.

Just ordered mine from the Quidco starting page, selected Woolworths, entered WW1 and home delivery. £17.99 indeed. Excellent buy this as my car is low to the ground so 116 mm starting height is just right. Other jacks have 130 mm starting height and no good for my car.

Just one query, this is the first time I`ve used Quidco, the web page Quidco sent me to was www.woolworths.co.uk how do woolworths know I came from the Quidco page ?

Hi milocoon, welcome to HotUKDeals.

Quidco and all the retailers use something called "cookies" which are files made on your computer which tell woolies that you came from quidco, and they pay quidco the affiliate money accordingly, with no effort on your part at all :)

Gotta second that, axle stands should always be used with any type of jack. Wheel chocks too, not only for on a slope, but if your car is jacked up at one end, the wheels still on the ground could move. Also when jacking the rear of the car, your handbrake will have no effect [quite obvious, but easily overlooked when in a hurry].

...also jacking your car with the handbrake on is generally NOT recommended, as you will soon need new handbrake cables.

Machine Mart do a 2 tonne one for £14.99 but it is just a small one like this aswell.
I think Im gonna go for the all alumninium one in Costco, its alot bigger and £70ish.

Good buy. Ordered one and was e-mailed an expected delivery date of 10 Nov. Phoned up local store to see if they have any in store and was told that they are not even at the depot yet for distribution. The lady said that they might not be there for the tenth and I could have a refund now if I want. I'll wait for mine but bear in mind if you are in a hurry for it to do a job.
