Also available on the Curry's website.

Seems to be the cheapest price around if you just want the console only and no games.

Some of the other bundles work out better value if you can trade in etc. but if you just want the lowest price around for the Xbox One this seems to be it.

Dupe, sorry all, please give heat here.

Smoking hot, as a second console, this and a Gold subscription for 48 games a year is all you need. PS4 is my main platform, but at this price an Xbox for a secondary, or even main, is a no-brainer!

elite xb1 for around 190 is better imo.

What's the gold subscription please?

Great deal!

@GH69 My bad, did search but missed this, will expire mine.

@faw It is a better console, and if you trade stuff in or sell the controller is even cheaper but there are probably a lot of people (average ma and pa) who aren't clued up on this and just looking for low price for Xmas.

With PS4 and XBox One prices being so low, does anyone else here think that Nintendo fans are being just a tad too optimistic with regards to how the Switch is going to fare? Also puts the £150 Wii U "deals" in perspective too...

Nintendo don't sell at a loss, Wii U is a cracking machine with some brilliant games you can't get elsewhere.

I have a Wii U. I also know that it's been a mainstream flop. As a commercial concern, the mainstream don't share your sentiments... And given the ethos of this site (ie saving money for consumers), as well as the momentum that both MS and Sony are generating for their existing machines, I doubt the Switch is going to have much hope when it launches.

Nintendo fans can spin the argument however they wish, but if Nintendo's games were really so desirable, then the Wii U would have sold more...

Surprised they have stock left - knew Base models would be £149 but couldn't find them anywhere!

Only if the Wii U £150 were actually new.

Nintendo didn't do a good job of selling what the U was before launch. I think they've got the messaging better even with the single trailer for the Switch. I'm not a blind fan boy, Nintendo need to sort out many things in particular the fact digital titles are tied to a console not your account and get the pricing and 3rd party support right.

Personally am excited about the Switch as it's different, just creating a PS4 or Xbox copy at this stage doesn't seem very Nintendo.

Nintendo went downhill after the GameCube and well, you're putting too much faith on the NS. Is Skyrim a confirmed launch game of the NS? No. They just figured they'd include gameplay footage for some reason.

That list third party publishers? Wait for it to actually be confirmed 'cause Nintendo said Wii U would have solid 3rd party support and it didn't. At this point I'm just a "maybe" day-one owner due to everything I've read about the NS and Nintendo.

Third party support is important but not a deal breaker for me, as long as I can get Zelda, a new Mario and Mario Kart which can be played anywhere then I'm pretty sold on it already :)

You're only thinking about you and your needs. Nintendo is a company and they need to make a profit which the Wii U wasn't. If they pull yet again a Wii U 2.0 then that early NS reveal trailer won't mean jack in sales.

I won't be buying the Switch. And like the people who didn't buy into the Wii U (ie pretty much everyone), have realised that Nintendo games aren't a big enough draw for me to consider buying into their ecosystem. Also doesn't help that I'm literally drowning in games - all of which are cheaper and offer more appeal.

Nintendo could release the equivalent of a "perfect system" (ala Dreamcast), but their track record is going to keep people not trusting them as much as Sony and MS - again, like Dreamcast where publishers AND consumers passed over the machine in favour of the PS2.

Nintendo's last "good" system (where they could actually be considered as "contenders") was the Gamecube, although even then, you could tell that newcomer MS would stomp all over them. And funnily enough, the XBox did...

TBH: when you can get an XBox One for around £150-200, I for the life of me can't work out as to who Nintendo are trying to appeal to - especially when reports suggest that the Switch will be around £250-300.

Totally get where you're all coming from, hope the Switch does well as Nintendo have innovated countless times over the years and gaming is better for all of us with them around.

I will say that when I have friends and family over Mario, Mario Kart and Smash Bros are the only games that get a look in. For local multiplayer you can't beat Nintendo.
