The new SKU will include a copy of the original game plus codes to download the two DLC packs: 8-Ball and Prestige.

The 8-Ball pack is already available to download over PSN and Xbox Live for 800 MSP or £7.99 and includes two new multiplayer events and eight new cars. All eight cars are available to drive in the games Race Day mode and online races. In addition to the cars, the pack will make two new multiplayer events available, set on existing circuits from across Race Driver: GRIDs three continents and to test drivers to their very limit online.

McLaren F1 GTR,
TVR Cerbera Speed 12,
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X,
Honda S2000,
Nissan GT-R aka S-G2008,
VW Nardo,
Pontiac Firebird Trans AM,
Volvo C30

The Prestige Pack is new, and will also be made available through PSN on March 11th for £7.99. The DLC includes the Australian Bathurst circuit and ten new cars:

Ferrari F430
Bugatti Veyron
Ferrari F550 Maranello
Mercedes McLaren SLR 722
Lotus 2-Eleven
Lamborghini Gallardo GT
Mazda Furai
Jaguar XKR GT3
Honda Integra Type-R (DC5)
Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

Both packs would cost £15.98 to purchase separately via the Xbox Live Marketplace or Playstation Network.

I went to find out how much trade-in was for the standard version today and its currently £5 at Game, £3.60 at Gamestation and £6 at HMV or CEX. So traded mine in for credit and will end up with a new copy of the Game and both dlc's for less than the cost of downloading them.

Loved this game when it first came out, and went back to it the other day after playing NFS Shift. Its certainly a different game to Shift, but still excellent, and has many features that make it unique.

I bought grid on here few weeks ago, it's awesome, though didn't realise they'd reissue it with all the DLC! typical!

They just announced the Reloaded pack and the new DLC today, thats how I found out about it anyway. Seems like a great deal even if you haven't played the game before. Both packs will also add more achievements, the 8 Ball has an extra 4 worth 100 points and I suspect Prestige will have something similar. The article below does say the 360 version will follow later but its listed on several retailers as the same date. Will just have to wait and see what happens next week when its meant to be released.

Brilliant post. Heat added :)
Also, does anyone know if the PS3 version will have trophy support?

Thought every game released for the PS3 now has to have trophy support?

Just noticed the Xmas smilies are still here :santa:

Another small note, my quidco @ TheHut tracked at £1.24 making it about £16.50.

Sounds promising then. But if it does, then I'd assume they would have to release an update for the current Grid game :santa:

Yeah my bad, thought it was 3.5% for games but the Quidco is actually showing as £1.26 for me. So from Zavvi the game will cost £16.69.

Why is the only date for the PS3 version, Xbox 360 one is just 'later in the year'.

These GOTY editions etc are a con if you ask me. Why isn't the extra content ON THE BLODDY DISK for christ sake? You get a 'one time use' DLC code. Total ****** if you ask me. Stick to the original release. It'll no doubt drop in price after this Reloaded is out anyways, and doesn't have that budget looking cover art!

Looks like both the Reloaded edition and the Prestige dlc might just be for Playstation 3 at the moment. No word on Xbox 360 version release or if it will get the dlc yet. :x

A premium Platinum edition of the BAFTA Award winning Race Driver: GRID™ will launch on March 12th in the UK for the PLAYSTATION®3, priced at £24.99. Entitled Race Driver: GRID™ Reloaded, the release will add extra content to the aggressive wheel-to-wheel racing experience by including codes in the box that will provide players with over £10 worth of new downloadable content (DLC).

Two DLC codes will be included in Race Driver: GRID Reloaded and enable players to download the ‘Prestige’ and ‘8-ball’ DLC packs, adding 18 cars, new multiplayer modes and a new circuit to the game.

The new Prestige Pack introduces the legendary Australian Bathurst circuit and 10 of the planet’s most desirable cars, including the Ferrari F430 GTC, Bugatti Veyron and Ferrari F575 GTC. Gamers can also get behind the wheel of the Mercedes SLR McLaren 722, Lotus 2-Eleven, Lamborghini Gallardo GT, Mazda Furai, Jaguar XKR GT3, Honda Integra Type-R (DC5) and Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

The 8 Ball Pack delivers eight superb high performance new cars to drive in the game’s ‘Race Day’ mode and online races. New featured cars include the McLaren F1 GTR, TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Honda S2000, Nissan GT-R (S-G2008), VW Nardo, Pontiac Firebird and the Volvo C30. The 8 Ball pack also comes complete with two new multiplayer events to compete in set on existing circuits from across Race Driver: GRID’s three continents and designed to test drivers to their very limit online.

The Prestige Pack will also be available as separate DLC for existing Race Driver: GRID players in PAL territories and North America, and will launch on the PLAYSTATION® Network on 11th of March for £7.99 / $9.99. The 8 Ball Pack is currently available for download on PLAYSTATION Network and Xbox LIVE® Marketplace.

I couldn't have said it any better.

Thankfully noone should need this DLC. Sure an extra track and a few extra cars... but think of the per car/track cost for this in contrast with how much you get in the original game alone, which you can probably get for 10£ here and there. Do you really need it?
