However, I've posted a few today and it's my way of paying back the HUKD community for bargains I have snaffled through it in the past :)

I heard you can get knocked off the tracks all the time on this game. Is this true ?
I don't want to get another frustrating driving game !

Not really, the difficulty settings can be tweaked before every race, you can enable/disable aids as you see fit, and the game actually falls into a semi-sim genre, like Project Gotham Racing, so it's not overly difficult or hardcore like Forza or Gran Turismo.

Excellent game even more so for this money.

Delivery estimate 20/12/10 though says usually 13 day delivery on website

Online or AI opponents? I've had occasional arguments due to different choices of driving lines.
The AI is quite interesting as they can make errors, often in spectacular fashion. After 3 years I still see new and exciting accidents occur.

It pays to learn the courses but there is actually a little flashing light near the speedometer which hints that you are potentially approaching a corner too fast.

I love Grid, though I have since moved on from the 360 version to PC. My only complaint is that my favourite choice of camera does not have a rear view mirror.

I bought this for 6.99 this time last year from Sainsburys, and considered it horifically under-rated.

IT IS BRILLIANT.

Unrivalled AI and a real beauty to boot.

BEST GAME EVER racing wise. Seriously this game rocks, its a simple game, cant upgrade cars nor do you have alot of cars to choose from but boy is this game pur fun. Have been playing this for 3 years now!!!
Best thing about it is the close racing and unlimited fun you get from it. Its not full SIM or full Arcade, it has a good mix of both.

I tried PGR demo on xbox and to be honest it felt a bit bland on the cars. I was a ble to get away with much sillyness on bike around a snowy Nurburegring (typo). I tried a few NFS and didn't like them for various reasons. This though seemed 'right' for me eg when on the grass you will wheelspin and get nowhere on some of the other demos I've played theres still good traction full throttle accelerating in a supercar on the grass oO. I watch a bit of motorsport and have an idea whats realistic and whats not.

After trying a couple of hours now I give up. What a disgrace of a website. Shame, I would have liked a couple of the other games posted on here as well :'(

I too nearly gave up trying to order a game last night.
