Just purchased the Radio Times double Christmas issue and there was a card stuck to one of the pages inside offering 12 issues for £1. No idea if the code is area specific, I have the North West/Yorkshire/North East issue, but it is not a personal invitation code and so should be available to everyone.

Just enter code RTG5214A online, or ring them to place your order so you know it has gone through properly as I did!

Different offer, the one you have just mentioned was a personal specific code and my order got canceled because of this. The offer I have just posted was on a card in the magazine and is therefore non-specific and should be available for everyone.
did this a few months ago. make sure you cancel direct debit if you don't want to renew and phone them. be prepared for somebody very rude on end of phone asking you why you don't want to continue subscription

To be honest I just cancel the direct debit once they have taken the £1 payment, I have done this offer a couple of times with no problem.
Says the promotion code you requested is not available when try to order.
Thank you worked for me

Me too
Did this one again after just doing the other code. Got 2 mags and then nothing probably because they set up two direct debits in my account and i cancelled one of them.
Mine just got cancelled again, that's twice now, they've said that it was for a specific email and I wasn't on the list. This after two issues, just missed out on the bloody Xmas issue, which was the whole point for doing it!!
But hey ho! Two issues for free before they cancelled! Can't win 'em all :)
Thanks OP!
Just used this code to set up a new sub for my folks, who have traditionally had it newsagent delivered weekly alongside daily newspaper but who are now stopping daily newspaper (after online Telegraph £25/yr offer!) so getting next 12 weeks for £1 = major bargain, and sub confirmatory email followed just ten minutes after order placement email.

Personal experience'wise : I tend to have a £1 trial once a year - though usually when sent a personalised email offer - and have always found them incredibly pleasant when I phone up to say I won't wish to continue (as I genuinely don't value it at £1.30+/issue even if that is a major saving over retail) with them reassuring me I'll continue to receive it until all 12 pre-paid (£1 DD) issues have been received and reminding me to ensure the DD is cancelled to be 100% sure they don't take more.
ie no downside to trialling whatsoever. (Similarly for the FT at £1/wk for 2 months or something similar which they let you do annually.)
