Think the smiley means he spent a lot when he could now have got it for £3.99-could be wrong though :)

I don't think it's their best album, but certainly a good one still.

Took me a few listens to like it, but "Codex" especially is just such a brilliant song.

I waited to buy the physical CD release, so I could burn it and put the CD aside for later (I know, I'm a caveman). Wish I hadn't, since it comes in such a pathetic flimsy piece of card instead of a proper box that my daughter tore it as soon as it arrived, probably by sneezing or something, and totally negated the point of wanting a physical release to keep anyway.

On topic, good price.

bit of a mixture....
I paid £30 for the unique newspaper album and mp3 download, but I've only listened twice and found it really boring... I've loved Radiohead since OK Computer, and have seen them maybe 5 times, but i've not given this album a chance to be honest.
Having bought the box set for in rainbows, (the pay what you want album), I was really impressed with the actual album so it justified getting the special edition somewhat, but this may be polishing a ****.
I may listen to it again shortly though, and find something special...

(it came out the same time as Beady Eye which was just simple rock fun, and Gruff Rhys which was special).

I voted hot as £3.99 is a good price for it if you don't want it physical.

In case you're doubting whether i liked radiohead... i shook hands with someone that i'd go and see them if they played japan while he was working there, and it cos me £800 on flights ;)

Fair enough mate - but you lost me at Beady Eye!?!?!?!

I bought it through Radiohead's site when it was first up (felt the money should go straight to the artist then. I haven't really listened to it fully and properly, I will soon.

Great price here.

One of the only bands in Christendom to truly take the p*** out of their fanbase and get away with it. They just don't bother making real music in the knowledge that the fans will buy it anyway and say it's brilliant. Radiohead are to music what Damien Hirst is to fine art.

If they released a recording that was actually a cutlery tray being dropped in a kitchen, their fans would buy it.... And say it's brilliant.

Not voted btw.

lol - beady eye are just fun... Saw them live 3 times, booking tickets having never heard them and didn't regret any of it.. fantastic gig.. liam has never sounded better..
don't judge me ;)
Beady Eye album isn't exactly special, but the live gigs have been.. but at least it's not as boring as this.... still, best to find out legally for £3.99 on amazon than not knowing.

I agree now unfortunately - bit of a shame..
I have loved all their albums and genuinely believed it, but this one is pretty poor... although, as i said at the start, i've not listened to it properly so there may be a spark of magic that i may discover.

all liam gallagher sings is about love and sunshhhhinnnneeee!! the beady album is awful... .... is it ironic that his music is shi*e and a rip off and so is his fashion label

atleast radioheads album is experimental and sounds different, it may not be their best but beady eye, c'mon, it's the same old shi*e that we heard in the 90's.... i'm not a radiohead fan bwoy but this album pi$$Es all over beady eyes eye.

To be honest, the guy actually said the album was fun. Something Radiohead lack in massive quantities. Much to their discredit.

Doubt Thom Yorke has smiled for a year or two.

Haha. The anger. Great.

My dads bigger than your dad stuff. Love it.

Keep buying radiohead albums please. They so need people like you.

No. They really really do. honest.

radiohead and beady eye have both got audiences... and luckily for me i generally have time for both..

Beady eye was 13 tracks of pretty poorly produced bloated demos tbh, but at least they were fun, and they reminded me of the gigs I went to (without hearing the album!)... Liams voice is better than anything Oasis had done in years... and yes I did like most of their albums.

Radiohead have been pretty flawless in their output except Amnesiac which seemed like leftovers from Kid A to me, which was still better quality than most bands output. And defending my Amnesiac comment, before anybody shoots me down... The best gig i saw radiohead play was for that album, at Oxford South Park...

dunno why i'm getting so defensive ;)

anyway... the last album is just short and nothing stands out at all... except the internet meme of the dancing thom yorke from the video :)

I aim to listen tomorrow again... got interupted today and didn't bother putting my headphones back in afterwards cos it just wasn't inspiring.

have a video of the song i was listening to when King of Limbs was released: Gruff Fhys, Shark Ridden Water...

I saw your name and thought of Martyn Nelson from King Adora... now they were a fun band that most people would feel were ridiculous :)
I was humming Final Countdown a lot today

what a divvy repsonse. all i'm saying is if you pigeon hole radiohead fans you can do it with Beady eye fans too, they are still churning out rubbish, and if radiohead fans would buy any old rubbish then fans of oasis will do too.

evryone is a critic at the end of the day, you can love or hate whatever you like.

ps. bore off.

but we don't need to pigeon hole anyone :)

Radiohead released their album "for the fans" and didn't give much a preview, whereas Beady Eye at least you knew what you were getting.

agreed - i'm bored with this too :)
