RAGU Sauce - Basil and Oregano 48p in-store at Tesco

Popped into the local Tesco on the way home from work tonight to get sauce for the meatballs and pasta meal I had planned for dinner.

I normally stock up when Ragu is on offer at £1, but couldn't believe the price on the shelf for this one. The other flavours were at the 'normal' price of £1.99.

Not showing online so may be an in store deal only. First time I've tried this variety but went down very well with the whole family.

Try the sauce recipe from here with Tesco's own meatballs. Simple and better than any jar if you have the time. I use a splash of worcestershire sauce instead of wine. http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/453623/spaghetti-and-meatballs.

It's not the nicest sauce so I usually avoid it - but 48p is amazingly cheap.

the new Ragu just isnt as nice, always prefered it to Dolmio, this is the older jar so worth looking out for.

I agree. This stuff is way too strong. Its disgusting. 48p you can keep it.
