This stuff is very good as long as it is applied properly, it is ensential to make sure the glass is totaly clean, ie no wax / road grime, use washing up liquid neat and srub the glass using newspaper, then allow the washing up liquid to clean for around 5 mins the hose off, and dry then apply the rain x in small fist size circles twice with a microfibre cloth then sprinkle with water and wipe with tissue, you will find that this is then a very GOOD product ! I have used the Halfords equivalent and it works very well. You have to appreciate it has its limitations though as it cannot completely eliminate fog, only reduce the likelihood of it forming. In other words if water is leaking into your car causing condensation everywhere, you probably need to fix the leak.

Also as above, these products work better where the glass has been well cleaned. I would recommend using a glass cleaner and microfibre cloth, then Auto Glym Glass Polish. The front screen is likely to take quite a bit of effort.

I've found that it also works really well on bathroom mirrors, even in a fairly small bathroom the mirror is clear after a shower.

Years ago when I had a moped, I used to rub this on my helmet. Worked a treat and kept the visor clear.
Not allowed on 2 wheels now.......:(

this stuff is a nightmare once its past its usage time, the water just settles on top of the layer of fog-x so instead of fogging up the windows its like looking through your bathroom window. personally i think its a waste but no harm in giving it a try and deciding for yourself.

I think you may have mistaken this for another product. This one is for the inside of the windows to prevent condensation.

The product for the outside of your windows is indeed very good. This stuff is utter rubbish.

Also anybody who knows anything about washing cars knows that you should never put wasdhing up liquid near a car. It is corrosive to the cars paint work!!

Agreed, original Rain X for water repelling the outside of the windscreen is excellent. As a rather dangerous test many moons ago I was driving on the motorway in decent rainfall at 70mph and turned my wipers off. The rain just hit the screen and immediately shot off the top of the windscreen.

Because it was so good, I tried RainX Anti Fog and was very disappointed. Followed the instructions exactly and still had fog forming on the windscreen (and no i didnt have a leak anywhere)
