Jump to unread Post a CommentThis stuff is very good as long as it is applied properly, it is ensential to make sure the glass is totaly clean, ie no wax / road grime, use washing up liquid neat and srub the glass using newspaper, then allow the washing up liquid to clean for around 5 mins the hose off, and dry then apply the rain x in small fist size circles twice with a microfibre cloth then sprinkle with water and wipe with tissue, you will find that this is then a very GOOD product ! Hot from me
Also as above, these products work better where the glass has been well cleaned. I would recommend using a glass cleaner and microfibre cloth, then Auto Glym Glass Polish. The front screen is likely to take quite a bit of effort.

AFAIK G5 is for water repellant not anti fog.
I'd prefer rain-ex :)
Good deal - heat given.

I think you may have mistaken this for another product. This one is for the inside of the windows to prevent condensation.
The product for the outside of your windows is indeed very good. This stuff is utter rubbish.
Also anybody who knows anything about washing cars knows that you should never put wasdhing up liquid near a car. It is corrosive to the cars paint work!!

Washing up liquid on your car, you must be bonkers!

Agreed, original Rain X for water repelling the outside of the windscreen is excellent. As a rather dangerous test many moons ago I was driving on the motorway in decent rainfall at 70mph and turned my wipers off. The rain just hit the screen and immediately shot off the top of the windscreen.
Because it was so good, I tried RainX Anti Fog and was very disappointed. Followed the instructions exactly and still had fog forming on the windscreen (and no i didnt have a leak anywhere)
