These are normally around the £6 mark per bottle. They were marked down to £2.75 per bottle representing a substantial saving for something that gets good reviews. There were plenty in stock at the Bristol Cribbs Causeway Living branch. I would imagine it to be nationwide but please post back if anyone can confirm this.

RainX is okay but there are much better products for the same thing, although they do cost quite a bit more. Out of the two the anti-fog is probably the one to buy.

Will check my local store and see if they have them on offer

Never heard of them.
RainX works fine for me and if I did see them and they are dearer..........maybe I'd go for the "etc" as it's a cute name. :|

Nope.
I missed that post.
Are they available at Tesco and can I use my points coupon? :|

Very true, but I prefer when users helpfully post how they bought the same item much cheaper a week/month ago with an alternative (now expired) deal. Those sort of comments will be so valuable once time travel becomes possible.

Works for me

+1 Rain X does the job, and at this price it's well worth it. Heat added.

Aquapel have got better reviews....I've used them and they work brillianty on motorway..I didn't use wipers at all on one of the journeys on motorway with heavy rainfall.

They are available on ebay and shipped from USA. With current exchange rate, they are slightly cheaper. Though, not cheaper than RainX.

Heat added for the price

£2.75 is a great price. Currently £6.99 at Halfords (although I've found that their own brand "Rain Repellent" is as good, if not better than Rain-X, but that is currently £5.99).

Awesome stuff, used this on every car I've had for the past 14 years - and one bottle goes a long way. :)

Buy some Collinite 476S doublecoat wax - its amazing for glass as well as paintwork and knocks spots off just about everyother product on the market for durability. (A £14 pot will last you 2-3 years)

anyone seen this deal in other tesco branches?

i'll second the G1 but its more expensive

Good price for the Rain X which I've used for a number of years with good results....just retreat the screen once the beading starts to fade away. Currently trying the turtle wax equivalent product which was about £6 in Halfrauds which does a similar job. I was sceptical about the anti fog stuff, but it does make a marginal difference if your car is prone to misting up (VX220 any one?). At this price definately pick up one or two tubs of RainX and grab an antifog to try!

I used this in the past but found it awful. It was fine in the day but at night when I was driving around town areas i.e. @30mph I needed to use the wipers as normal. Now the water beaded into tiny balls and blinded me at every streetlight.

Same here with RainX on the Mway oop Scootland way. Sounds dangerous but RainX and no wipers was better vision that 'normal' circs (no Rainx and with wipers)

I had the same thing - I think it is car specific as it used to work fine when I used it on other models.

Just to let people know it's not recommended for cars with auto wipers.

This stuff only starts working above 40-50mph when the air flow across the screen clears the beads nicely. Slower than this and you'll need to use wipers as normal though.

No stock in either of the Bridgend stores for me unfortunately.

Used this on a 650 mile drive on the French Autoroutes and did most of it in heavy rain without the wipers but with perfect visibility. Awesome stuff!
#27
the anti-fog works great, inside of my car had damp so during winter this would sit on the inside of my windscreen and freeze. its not much fun thawing your whole windscreen outside, then getting in and having to do the same again :)
never tried rain X but might at this price
#28
Can someone confirm if it's a national?

I'm aware of how it functions, I was just pointing out that in the times where you do need to use you wipers it can be very dangerous.
As W_D_G pointed out it may only do this on certain cars.

None in Bidston Moss, Wirral.

I purchased both these when my wiper motor packed in (the new motor online took a few days to arrive). The rain repellent worked a charm driving above 35mph, however, I noticed it would smear across the windscreen when you did occasionally use the wipers.

As for the anti-fog, I found that although yes it did prevent fogging, the window would still look somewhat blurred. I stopped using both after one application.

I've never had any problems with this or even the "cheap" imitations from the shopping channels.
I think the trick is to make the best job of cleaning the glass that you can before 1st applicastion and then a normal clean before further ones.
I think the speed at which it starts to work might depend on the rake of the windscreen.
I try to use my wipers only when this does not work, ie at low speeds.
Just wish I could find some at this price.
