picked up a bottle myself yesterday :) never thought to post it?? is it that big a deal for this?? I just picked it up as mine is years old and virtually empty... want it for my side mirrors actually as they hold the morning fog/dew

Hate this product, once it is on, it will not come off. Your wipers will chatter and make loads of noise during normal operation, even though regular users will say you don't need to use the wipers, you do. And then the product starts wearing off in patches so you have to re apply it or put up with really bad visibility. May be good for shower screens, but at least you don't need to see through them!

I use on van/car side windows and mirrors in winter. Helps visability a lot. Heat...

Cold, I bought five bottles of the stuff and it still rained on my walk to work, did not repel any rain.

I use it on the bath screen and the wall tiles in the shower. it helps to stop the build up of water marks

There are two types - one for glass, the other for plastics.

Used to use this, tried out a different more expensive product (Gtecniq), wouldn't go back. I've only had to apply it once and so far its lasted a year.

It won't keep it 100% clean but the water will run off it quicker. It's almost like when you wax a car the water runs off it easier rather than sitting.

I find this quite useful in the winter putting on the rear windscreen. As I don't have a wiper it helps the rain run off but no way does it keep it 100% clear.

EVERY driver should be forced to use this so they can see in rain :{

Rain x is quite good, but id recommended aquapel. Been using it for a year or so and find it beads better than rain x. But it only starts running off the screen from about 50mph. Can get it about £4.80 on eBay.

For folks who haven't used the potent stuff, wash your windscreen and windows, then wash them again and rinse with hot water. If they don't dry use kitchen towel to dry them, apply some rain x on a cloth working in like you would a wax. then use something like a microfiber towel to buff off when it dries. Don't leave it on too long, and keep buffing you soft Nancy, if you see kind of rainbows, keep buffing! Your applying a nano wax. Buff buff buff. You should basically think you have just ruined your windows you have to buff that much, and probably work up a good sweat.
Then all of a sudden your windows will be really slippery and you know its worked. Think of something like George Clooney walks in on your mrs. Yes its slippy!

I hope that was descriptive enough for you guys on rain x application :p

Tbh its a pain to apply but I think results are definitely worth it. People who say it smears etc. probably don't apply it properly. Do it properly and you can be a smart **** who flicks the wipers on because you get a bit conscious about looking like your a spanner who drives without lights on at night, or a indicator on constantly, or don't know how to turn wipers out of storm mode. :D

If your wipers chatter it's time to upgrade to aero blade ones via fleabay for about a fiver ;)
