12,500 renown to unlock the operators in this version. 500-2000 in the main game I believe?

500-2000 for the standard ones, 25000 for DLC operators. From what I can tell its now 12500 for standard operators and still 25000 for DLC operators.

You also get 2 starter operators with this version, as well as 600 R6 Credits which is equivalent to 25000 renown (that you can only use on operators) - so 1 DLC or 2 starters.

I would recommend grabbing the normal edition from cdkeys as this version will force you to play as recruit on occasion (due to others selecting your characters before you!

I personally wouldn't touch this edition with a bargepole mate. Don't get me wrong, it was slightly feasable when the 'normal' version was at a higher price, but not when we're discussing a £2 difference.

Just as an FYI, and it is quite detailed, here is the F.A.Q -

STARTER EDITION

- Instant Unlock:
2 random Operators from a pool of the most intuitive Operators at entry level: Rook, Sledge, Ash, Fuze, Mute, and Smoke.
600 R6 Credits to spend on either additional Operators (recommended) or other additional content

- Slower unlocking of the remaining 16 Original Operators (GIGN, SAS, GSG9, SPETSNAZ, FBI):
12,500 Renown or 300 R6 Credits to unlock 1 Operator
Approx. 15 hours to unlock 1 operator using in-game Renown

- Access to all Post-Launch Operators (JTF2, Navy SEALs and upcoming CTUs):
25,000 Renown or 600 R6 Credits to unlock 1 Operator
Season Pass unlocks all Post-Launch Operators

STANDARD EDITION

- Access to 20 original Operators through minimum playtime (GIGN, SAS, GSG9, SPETSNAZ, FBI):
Between 500 to 2000 Renown to unlock 1 Operator
Approx. 0.5- 2 hours to unlock 1 operator

- Access to all Post-Launch operators (JTF2, Navy SEALs and upcoming CTUs):
25,000 Renown or 600 R6 credits to unlock 1 Operator
Season Pass unlocks all Post-Launch Operators

The time to unlock operators is 7 times more than the standard editon. That in the long run is going to cause serious frustration.

So are all of the Year One DLC operators 25,000 / 600 to unlock, regardless of the edition?

It's just the basic operator that take ages to unlock with the Starter pack?

Yep, correct. As has been said, best to go for the standard edition considering the small price difference

Thanks, yeah I grabbed the Standard from cdkeys from the deal posted yesterday (?), for £11.
I didn't know the Starter pack was a thing til I saw this, now realise how bad a deal it is :D
