The was price is probably right too:
http://www.icoste.com/459_Garden-Tools/Rainwater-Saving-Argonaut-1100-Litre-Underground-Tank-Green.htm

Complete with diverter, filter and pump Electric water but pumps alone are £35+ for a decent one!

Just sent the link to my dad he is obsessed with water butts he must have 20 now all interconnected with a pump!
#4
Not sure what these are but aren't they worth buying in bulk if the saving is so massive?
#5
£1498 seems a lot for a tub and a pump :s

You're still going to need a rising main so you will still be paying for water. I dont have a meter so all good for me, so really I wont be making ****** all savings. Do I care about recycling water? No lol

big butt, wide deep hole and soaking inside:whistling:

Does anyone have a purpose for this yet? Is it intended for emergency loss of water mains or just as spare 'dirty water' for the garden?

#28

#29
Thanks osa
Not the size I wanted "butt" at this price I can use two.
#30
I wonder can you make moonshine in it :whistling:
#31
The reduction in price is very good but IMHO these were well overpriced to start with. Yes the have the pumps and the filters but ar only 1100 litres. Wilkinsons do standard 210 litre butts for about £15 and you dont have to go to the expense of buring them. If your a nursery or have a huge garden these might be a bargain get a few and bury them in series with the cost of hiring the machine spread over several butts. Heat and rep added for the reduction in price thpugh.

As an aside in the commercial construction world double systems are becoming very popular in this day and age of recycling with the grey water being used for toilet flushing etc in the building and watering the grounds etc. BUt they have to be much bigger than this to be effective.
