Heat added, good deal for a resonable quality Tiagra bike.
If Raleigh aint your thing then try Ribble they do a choice of road,winter/audax etc from £579 with Tiagra or upgrade as you like and 12 month interest free.

Check the geometry suits you i.e. get a test ride and some advice on sizing (PM me if you want some rough pointers), as the sizes are broadly spread so may be something of a compromise

To its credit, it won't be easy to find this much Tiagra elsewhere for that money.

Tiagra has a much better shift feel than Sora (which is the norm on sub £600 bikes).
The carbon fork is another nice-to-have (expected at £750, rare at £500) as it absorbs the high frequency buzz from the road and makes the ride significantly more comfortable, while retaining stiffness.

£750 RRP is expensive for what it is, but at £499 it should serve somebody very well.

Nice.
