Cheers,

I missed out on the Ratatouille/Pixar shorts pre-order mis-price for £17.99

I'd wait for the Blu Ray myself but if you made this mistake of owning HD DVD then I guess this is the best you can hope for.
#15
Is this for the single disc edition? Their website shows the 2 disc collectors edition for £13.97 which is also the cheapest I've seen it.
#16
Are they also doing the £5 for another DVD deal?

Great spot for the price. Great movie as well.
Sparc, you're obviously a Sony fan but keep your sarcastic comments to yourself. Theres been plenty of s**t on here recently re HD or Bluray, just let people make their own minds up, perhaps thats the best we can hope for!
#19
I recently watched Cars on Blu Ray and the difference from the standard DVD was immense, but £16.97 is a rip off for Rat on BR.
#20
Here we go again with Tesco. They are actually LOSING money on every copy they sell of this. These are the tactics they're willing to employ in order to sucker people into their stores. And more deals like this means the high street loses out again, so you'll get more entertainment stores in trouble.

The comment is pointless anyway because this isn't even coming out on HD-DVD anyway, and there were never any plans to. :?

so a cartoon on blu-ray is that much better quality than DVD?

i think you're more likely to notice the difference on movies like Matrix, Transformers and Bourne Ultimatum... i can't seem to find them on Blu-Ray anywhere tho ;-)
#25
I checked my local Tesco and they say they know nothing about this and that its £14.

Maybe they just haven't been told yet. Or is it not in evert Tesco I wonder

Haven't Warner Brothers just switched to Blu-Ray?
Wasn't that the "nail in the coffin"?
Matrix and Bourne will probably hit the Blu-Ray market soon.
I have both formats and both are great, but this is a great price for a great movie.
BR and HD discs are way too expensive so the upscale from theDVD on PS3 or Xbox will make this film look pretty good anyway!

The Woolworths buy Ratatouille and buy another Pixar DVD for £5 is definite, and it's available online.

I just bought Ratatouille at £9.97 and Cars for £5. Also works with Toy Story.

The offer isn't showing on the site, just add the second Pixar title to the basket and the price automatically changes to £5.

It is the 2 disc for £8!

#33

I checked and it IS supposed to be in £8 in ALL Tesco's, but the word doesn't seem to have gone round. If they try to charge full price, ask them to call their Head Office.
#38
Does anyone know how much the Ratatouille with the Pixar Shorts Animations dvd is in Tesco's? Thanks:thumbsup:
#39
Think the one with shorts is £16 in Tesco. Def only £8 in Pontypridd as picked one up this mornign and yes it is the 2 disc version.

Hi, Just been to the Walkden branch and they had hundreds of discs of the film for £8 and big posters up at the entrance and near the discs. Also went for the easter eggs, but none there at all.
