Popped in to my local Debenhams today and they had a few pair of Aviators reduced from £118 to £49
A lot of pairs were priced at £118 but a few marked down to £49 so worth a look

Something to think about next time you buy fakes?

According to the book ‘Deluxe: How Luxury Lost Its Luster’, the writer, Dana Thomas shares her experiences in Thailand, witnessing what these poor little children have to endure. When she walked into a small sweatshop, she saw these child labors all under ten were sitting on the floor assembling counterfeit leather handbags. An investigator told her that

An investigator told her that ‘the owners had broken the children’s leg and tied their lower legs to the thigh so the bones wouldn’t mend. [They] did it because the children said they wanted to go outside and play’.

Think about where your money is going.

your joking right? and you think "authentic" ones are made by people who have there feet up, air con in there warehouse and free food and drink with the best pay around?

wake up mate, high priced goods is purely for the name, and only idiots or idiots with money will spend for example £420 on a LV speedy 30 bag when it probably only just about cost £20 if not less to produce by slave workers.

Loving the irony that in a discussion about fakes someone comes up with the word "authenticness".
I think the word you were looking for was "authenticity".
Gave me a laugh.

In case anyone is looking for a Ray Ban at a good discount (not a bargain ), this site has reasonable prices. Introductory discount is 15% off the cheapest online price plus a further 5% if you introduce 5 people as it claims it works based on words of mouth as opposed to advertising. I bought this £140-ish ray ban (sold at House of Fraser) for £85, which is 20% off £107 (the cheapest online price). You pay by Paypal and they offer 30 day money back guarantee and usual 12 months warrantee. The site is not flashy and you encounter glitches (like when you wanna pay by Paypal - refresh if happened), but I guess that's what you pay for!
By the way I have no affiliation with this website but thought I share my experience as I exhausted the high street and online shops for the last two weeks!

I read a guide on eBay stating from 1998 authentic Ray Bans are all Made in Italy (taken over from Bauche & Lamb of USA). There were also some guidelines given there how to tell the fake one from the real. There is (at least) a flashy website which sell (allegedly) fake Raybans at about 30% of the real ones! :whistling:

I assume this is store specific, has anyone found them at this price elsewhere? bargain if you can find them, tempted to knock off a little early and have a look.
#30
They were mixed in with the normal priced raybans so check the labels

"authenticness" like "voidance" as in warranty voidance
..used the word the other day although wasn't sure about its "authenticness"

Easy tell are the shape of the aviators and the box it comes in.

Never buy fake eye-wear, unless you want harmful UV rays damaging your eyes!
#33
just popped into my local debenhams, nothing anywhere near that price. guessing ur a lucky man who stumbled on either a mis-price or EOL.

but on the subject of fakes etc, you've got to pay for quality with sunglasses, if only for the sake of your eyes
#34
has anyone had any luck with these? thinking of a pressie for the man ;)

Doesn't sound very likely it's nationwide so ordered some on ebay (from a seller I can be 100% sure is selling authentic) for £70 instead.

PM sent. Dispatched today and should be delivered tomorrow, I'll update if anyone if interested but as I say, 100% sure they only sell authentic sunglasses (over 15,000 pairs).
