After looking at the Ray-Ban deals on the US Amazon site, I decided to have a look at the UK site and spotted these - direct from Amazon and it's the cheapest they've been.

In order to get them for £48, you must sign up for the Amazon fashion newsletter and use the 20% off code (link comment #1). You can create a new account if you have already used it in the past.

It's not clear but I think the model no. is 2140 - Original Wayfarer and they probably aren't polarised.

Size medium only. No measurements given but it's free returns.

It looks to me that Amazon picture is Black Frame/Green Lens. I think Black Frame/Gray Lens might be close to the below link.

So many fakes about with the Rayban branding! Funniest I seen last year on holiday was "Roy Ben"
#17

Same here.
#22
I bought these for like £5 from Aliexpress lol. They're exactly the same as the real ones.
#23
If the price is too good to be true, then it usually is. I smell fakes unfortunately in this case. Almost half the price of all other online retailers selling the same pair.

The warning signs are there.

These are only £1 when you watch a 3D film at the cinema

And before anyone says they are fake, they are not,as they say REAL on the side

size medium = 50mm ... too small

I've bought it to replace a pair that has broken in transit during a holiday and can confirm that they are definitely fakes. A good reproduction, but you can clearly see the difference when placed side by side with my genuine broken pair.

I just bought a pair, I know they're obvious fakes, but for £6....whatever

Lots of horror stories on the internet about this website, although most are people buying £100's worth of stuff, like phone and clothes which turn out to be bad quality

I expect these glasses to be bad quality anyway, £6 isn't a massive loss, even if they break

Looking at the picture then this link; I'd suggest this is fake for sure and expire it

In the seventies Clint Eastwood made them popular when he wore them for his Dirty Harry character.

Ironically at the time Ray-Ban was a brand of Bausch and Lomb optical - they later sold it to some Italian company. So you could say even the real ones are now fakes!

So are you saying the ones yesterday sold and delivered by amazon are fakes? If they are will be getting a refund.

I have heard of many ways to tell the difference between fake RayBan Wayfarers and real ones. For example, check to see if the G15 inscription is in the lens, check to see the serial number on the frame, and also the ray ban logo is on the top of the lens.

However, these all are common on fake RayBan Wayfarers. Two tell tale signs of real wayfarers include the following;

Tilt: Nearly every single RayBan Wayfarer, when the temples, or sides of the glasses, are held parallel to a flat surface, you will notice that the front of the glasses are tilted inwards slightly. Many fake RayBans do not have this tilt. This is the most obvious difference between fakes, and authentics.

Side Logo: What makes a RayBan Wayfarer recognizable is the side logos on each side of the temples. What is usually seen in fakes is that the logo is glued or somehow otherwise attatched to the temple, making the glasses look authentic. However, if you observe real Wayfarers, you will notice that the logo is actually a part of the temple, and doesn't extrude more than 1/4 of a millimeter from the surface.

These two factors can be critical to discovering whether you have found a deal, or a rip off.

If you would like to compare with actual RayBans, visit their website at http://www.ray-ban.com.

My goal is to help ebayers to be able to make smart decisions while purchasing items, please mark whether this guide was helpful or not to you so that others can benefit from the information given

Yeah, we know.

Do you think we're stupid enough to think we'd be getting genuine RayBans for £6?

Would a protruding logo like the one below be a sign of a fake pair?
