Cheers mate, going past a Lidl this Thursday will try two or three!

 surprised this hasn't reached triple figures yet, I would presume it's because people think they are rubbish, but it's lots of chicken breast, proper flavours, and what you get for only a quid is extremely cheap, the packet is quite heavy.
#3
These are quality, so much better than similar stuff from other supposedly more upmarket supermarkets.
#4
will have to go and check this one out i think :D thanks op
#5
are the sauce and rice in separate areas ?. Cant eat egg fried rice but still could be good just for the main.

yes 2 separate areas, these are not frozen either they are fresh.

Good good. Hopefully will get a few tomorrow. Have to love a bit of black bean sauce

What's the nutritional values like on these? lots of salt?
#9
I think these are Frozen only deals?.

Each one has around ~ 550 calories, the salt content is quite high too.
Weight is appx 550grams. (i really must get out more!)

Just had the Korma for my tea. Lots of 'breast; but overall quality poor. Certainly not a steal for £1, look around and you can get decent Pataks for that price.

I got mine out of the freezer! 12 minutes cooking time in micro~

Chinese = Soy sauce = salt.

Indian = clarified butter.

That's why they taste good.

"Fresh" is probably a bit of an overstatement. Anything with as much preservatives and salt in it as these have can't even be desribed as fresh the day they leave the factory........

just tried th BBS - it was nice defo worth the quid plus big chicken pieces which seemed to be proper breast pieces rather than reformed chicken

are these only with chicken, shame theres no prawn or beef ones

its tempting but is the chicken from a chicken and if so wheres the chicken from??

cluck

That's an amazing price, for £1 I'm certainly tempted to try them. Thank you :-)

Hmmm, I think that sort of emotive statement may require a little bit of science to back it up. Care to link to some peer-reviewed articles that evidentially support this claim?

when I said fresh I meant not frozen, as they are chilled at the store near me.
#31
These are in the frozen section not chilled (Scotland).

Those are the wrong ones.

Good deal, these meals are actually pretty good (for Lidl, better than Tesco's dire small curries), will get some for the freezer :-)

My store has them both frozen and as a shelf ready-meal (same company makes them, similar packaging).
#34
In my store the chilled meals are £2.19

Just had the Jalfrezi today, better than the Korma. I have now changed my opinion of these, they are great!
