"Silly comments" here's a very silly one......

"people with remote controls, bike lights, smoke alarms, etc etc!"

Using rechargeables in a smoke alarm is a definite no no(unless they are the Eneloop type) they're also not that great in remote controls.

Yep if you have kids you will soon find out that you can never have to many batteries in the house.

Saying that I'm gonna get these for myself as all mine are in the kids toys and I need my own set for my flashgun.

    I agree.
Nothing special here. A grand saving of £1.50 (7.5p each) for buying in bulk.

    utter crap as per usual!

I have some in my Logitech universal remote and havent had to recharge even after 6 months use.

Not keen on being woken by that annoying noise they make when the batteries go flat, especially at 3am. Think I stick to standard batteries with a longer life and just change them every six months. Would be a shame if the rechargeable suddenly went flat just as the fire starts. DOH!

"a problem with rechargeable batteries is a rapid voltage drop at the end of their useful charge. This is of concern in devices such as smoke detectors, since the battery may transition from "charged" to "dead" so quickly that the low-battery warning period from the detector is either so brief as to go unnoticed, or may not occur at all."

are these not better one's than the cheap crap you get inside the solar garden lights.

If you're not going to use the batteries for months on end, or plan to use them in remotes, smoke alarms then I'd recommend get the green colour 7dayshop batteries which are low drain

Not a fan of this company's "ready to go batteries" they give continuous inaccurate readings on my digital camera (it shows flat one day then full the next) this could be a fault with my camera but it works fine with Eneloops and standard primaries. They also do not hold their charge as well as Eneloops.

You get what you pay for with batteries. I wouldn't bother with cheaper rechargeables any more.

Yeah eneloops or equivalents should be used in low drain applications like clocks bike lights remotes smoke alarms. Otherwise you're just wasting your time with regular NiMH since they leak more than they give...
